portable fire pit with grill

Yknow, I wasn't expecting a ton from this, but it's actually great. We got this cheap little thing for the occasional small fire. It's very easy to set up, tear down, wash out, and can hold a fair few logs. The slots and the bottom allow for a lot of air and it burns really well- very hot. It's light and easy to carry or move. We got 9x dollar pavers from the store and put them below it for safety. Recommended for folks who are looking for something small and simple.

I bought this inexpensive portable fire pit for an unconventional purpose - to burn old documents that contained sensitive identifying information. I didn't want to spend the money necessary for a decent shredder & I didn't like the time consuming idea of using a rolling stamper that may or may not obscure what I don't readable, or even worse, getting a cramp in my hand while spending forever cutting the documents up by hand! While searching for something I could safely destroy my old documents in by fire, I came across this awesome little portable fire pit. I was slightly nervous about the sturdiness of this item, but I figured if it looked unstable, I'd just send it back. The set up is simple & self explanatory. Once assembled, I was rather impressed with its strength. I might actually use this again later on for its intended use! I took out to my backyard, set it down on some level dirt, checked to make sure it wasn't too windy, grabbed the garden hose & turned it on (just in case) along with the metal sprinkler key (in case I needed to reposition anything burning), lit the first paper on fire & set it on the metal dish. Slowly feeding the fire 2 pages at a time, I was able to destroy my old documents in record time!!! I can't speak on the sturdiness of the overhead grill because I haven't used it yet, but this little portable fire pit rocks! It's light weight, folds up very small, & even comes with its own carrying bag! Its high enough that it doesn't scorch the ground underneath it too. The only thing I would caution people who want to use this fire pit for the same reason I did, don't do it when it's windy! Obviously paper doesn't weight much & it would be easy for the wind to pick up your burning papers & start a bigger fire!!! Please use common sense. I'm extremely happy with my purchase & look forward to using this fire pit again in the future!

Easy to assemble, however box came tore up. But so far so good. Bought it for beach camping trip coming up soon. UPDATE: Went on our beach camping trip and used it 3 times for little fire and S'mores had no issues with it at all very handy, small, compact and perfect.

I was actually very impressed with this firepit! It's good and sturdy, it was easy to use, and i was actually able to cook my dinner on it! It needs fairly small pieces of wood, if that's the fuel you use, so you have to keep feeding it - but it puts out a decent amount of heat as well. It's not too heavy and it stores in a neat little case. Overall, I'm really happy with it.

Tried this out for the first time tonight! The fire pit itself seems to be pretty decent quality though the ash/alcohol tray is thinner than I'd like. The tongs and marshmallow sticks are cheap, but work....they could be longer though. Biggest complaint is the "fireproof" mat.......thankfully I set up on a fireproof surface, because the mat melted completely through under the pit and I didn't know until I cleaned up....had it been set up on different surface it could have ended very badly!! If you get this fire pit, get a different fireproof mat and/or a stand of some sort

This product is well worth the money. I am on week 3 of a trip and have used it many times. Once, I kept a fire going in it almost the entire day. The product is holding up just fine. The compact design was exactly what I needed for space conservation in a small vehicle. The set-up is a little awkward at first, but gets easier each time. Embers will fall out so make sure there is nothing below or around the pit that could catch fire. It’s surprisingly sturdy for such a light weight design. Still, smaller pieces of wood work best. This is shallow enough to allow good air flow. Not suitable for windy conditions. This foldable fire pit is the best and I am so thankful to have it with me on this trip!

This product is so much fun! Myself and a bunch of friends really enjoy camping together and we decided to try this one out. We love the flexibility it offers in that we can use both alcohol fuel and also wood fuel from sticks and such. The venting at the bottom allows for good airflow from the bottom that allows good cooking at the top. We still haven't used it yet with alcohol, but I assume it'll work just as well! One word of caution is to not use your nice cookware on this - It will accumulate soot and such so make sure you use durable cast iron or cookware you're not worried about ruining.
