Sleek, secure, and easy to use
I love how sleek and discreet this smart lock is—it looks just like a regular deadbolt but has all the convenience of smart home tech. Setup was straightforward, and connecting with Matter makes it easy to control across different platforms. The auto-unlock feature is super handy when my hands are full, and I feel more secure knowing I can check the status from my phone anytime. A great balance of style, security, and smart features!

Great door lock that can be unlocked from anywhere!
This lock has been a game changer for our home! I love that it connects seamlessly with Alexa, which makes it so easy to unlock or check the status when we’re not home. The installation was straightforward, and I like that it works with our existing keys, so we didn’t have to change out hardware. It feels super secure, looks clean since everything is hidden inside the door, and the convenience of remote access gives us real peace of mind. Highly recommend if you want a smart lock that blends in and just works!

Auto-unlock feature doesn't work with Android
The auto-unlock feature doesn't reliably work with Android phones. According to the support person I talked with, this is an issue with the Android OS, not their lock. Unfortunately, I learned this after I could no longer return the lock, so now I am stuck with a smart lock that doesn't do the one thing I wanted it to do.Fortunately, I found a suitable replacement in the August Wi-Fi Smart Lock, which seamlessly auto-unlocks with my Android phone. It's puzzling why August was able to overcome the alleged Android OS issue when Level couldn't. This has cast doubt on the support agent's explanation.I had to install the Level Bolt lock twice to get it to lock/unlock most of the time. Even then, the lock still failed to lock/unlock if the door wasn't closed perfectly. While it would be nice to have a hidden smart lock so no one can tell it is a smart lock, it is more important for me to have a lock that works. If you are an Android user and the auto-unlock feature is essential to you, I highly recommend purchasing the August lock instead. It was easier to install and just works. I have had no issues with the August lock failing to lock or unlock, as I had with the Level Bolt.

Good once you get it setup and have worked out all the kinks.
BLUF: Good once you get it setup and have worked out all the kinks.I got this product for probably the same reason many people get this product, to let people in while not at home, check that I locked the doors remotely, and be able to let myself or my family in, if we accidentally locked ourselves out. To do these things, except for the last, I’d need the Level Connect to bridge the Bluetooth of the lock to my home Wi-Fi. I’ve had the product less than a month. These are the problems I encountered:1. The door needed to have pressure on it to close easily, so the product did not work at first.2. The Level Connect would not stay reliably connected to my router.3. The app.For number 1, I figured the reason the lock didn’t slide smoothly enough was because the lower catch that does not have a lock was not pushed far forward enough, so I glued some metal against the little tab of metal to have it close tighter. That worked and the lock now slides in and out easily and reliably works. For number 2, I tried different settings in my router which is an ASUS GT-AX11000, which seems to have problems unrelated to the Level lock. I pulled out my old Google mesh router (comes in a pack of 3, but I just used one) and then once I switched the access point in the app, it worked. For number 3, the first problem I had in the (Android) app was after connecting, it immediately started updating the firmware without asking if I wanted to. I was a bit annoyed because I didn’t know if I had however long it was going to take to do that, and I was afraid I might brick the lock if the firmware update did not work. Then, after successfully updating the firmware, it said another update, and started updating again. Then a third time, and I realized that it was the same firmware update number! I cancelled it in the middle and then the lock didn’t respond. I thought I HAD bricked the lock at that point! I closed out the app and started it again and it seemed all was well and it no longer wanted to update the firmware. The second problem I had with the app was when I was trying to get the Level Connect added. If you have a good solid low-tech router or you use all default settings with your router, you probably won’t have a problem. I had problems with the Level Connect staying connected to the router. When I would go in the app to try and resolve this problem, it correctly said it wasn’t connected, but when I went to reconnect it, the app couldn’t find ANY Wi-Fi connections. I would have to remove the Connect from the app and re-add it. If it didn’t connect the first time to the router, I could go back and change the password, but if I wanted to choose a different hotspot or router, again, it would not find ANY connections to connect to (which was obviously a bug). You can imagine how this could make troubleshooting your router’s settings unnecessarily drawn-out and difficult. One other minor issue is the Level Connect has a status light on it that you cannot turn off. That should be an option in the app but it is not.Lastly, I tried the Auto Lock feature, which lets you lock the door after a set amount of time. It worked, but it also locked my wife out, as she went outside to clean the car and closed the door to keep the cold air out, and did not have her keys nor did she have the app set up yet. I turned that feature off.Summary: Was it worth all the trouble? Yes, to me it was for the three reasons I bought it stated above. It gives me another level of piece of mind and I didn’t have to change out keys or anything. I wish it had some way to pull itself tight and lock it so I didn’t have to jury-rig my door and I wish their app was less buggy, but if I had to do it all over again knowing what I know now, I’d still buy it.

Amazing product. Perfect smart lock.
This is the perfect smart lock. It retrofits easily to your existing deadbolt (we have a Schlage) and is not noticeable to the naked eye. There is no need to re-key the lock–your existing keys work! The lock is surprisingly easy to install and easy to setup, including a firmware update. It works remarkably well. I completed the install in less than 15 minutes, and I am neither handy around the house nor am I tech savvy. The instructions are slightly sparse but not difficult to decipher. My only real complaint is that if you do not connect the lock to your Alexa or Apple Home within 30 minutes, you need to reset the lock. It works really well when connected to Alexa (requires updated “Matter” version). I would have preferred a 1 hour time limit.

Get the Level Lock+ Instead
Tried the Level Bolt first as I wanted to keep the orignial hardware matching. After a few days of trying to make it work properly, and a useless chat with support, I decided to return it. Why? Connectivity is not great at all, even with the bluetooth range extension on and using an Apple Homepod for connectivity with Homekit. Siri can unlock the door but i t takes too long and sometimes fails. The lock is well made and easy to install but fails in connectivity. FYI - I returned this item and purchased the Levelo Lock+ - WOW, such a difference in quality and connectivity. Works with Siri, and unlocks quickly and with a sound via the Homekey in iphone or apple watch. Skip the bolt and get the Lock.
