Great Gift for a Stressed-Out College Kid
I talked to my son, who is a college junior. He was completely stressed out so I sent him a care package to take his mind off his studies for a few minutes. Little tricks were often used as funny icebreakers when I was in college. He loved his care package and had fun sharing the tricks with people around him.

Clever trick with excellent guides and surprisingly convincing coins
This actually makes for a pretty brilliant magic trick. It requires a lot of preparation in the form of practice, until you get it down well enough to be able to perform the trick effectively and convincingly. It requires a bit of skill, finesse, and deft hand movements to perform well.I haven't gotten to practice with it enough yet, but when I tested it on some of my family, they were blown away and so confused. We're all magic skeptics and scour performances as best we can to identify the underlying trick to it. In this case they weren't able to figure it out at all. It's very convincing! I can only imagine how well it would do in front of groups after I get better at it.The included instruction sheet is well written, clear in its guidance, thorough in its detail, and well structured. They even include a link to a page with video tutorials. Those video guides offer a lot of useful tips and some clever trick ideas you can perform. The tricks shown are fully explained and well thought out, and some of them are pretty advanced, requiring real sleight of hand to do. The guide, tips, and tricks on the provided sheet itself are actually different from the ones contained in the videos, so it's worth reading as well.As for the components themselves - they're surprisingly high-quality. The bang ring included here is made of a light metallic alloy that looks really nice and firmly keeps its shape, and looks to be much better than the cheap black plastic one used in the video guides. As for the coins, they look and feel just like their real counterparts. I don't have a Mexican Centavo to compare to, but the half dollar coin is so accurately recreated that I found it impossible to tell apart from a real half dollar I had & directly compared it to. The finish, texture, and engravings, even along the side, were all identical. It's so convincing that I was genuinely concerned that I might mix up the two and forget which is which, unable to distinguish between them at all. The only difference was in the weight, where the trick one is only very slightly lighter, but the difference is so minimal that no regular person should be able to tell the difference during a trick. The issue with the structure of the trick is that the separated coins it creates are too hard to separate and put back together. Separating them takes 5 or so hard bangs on a hard surface with the bang ring, which makes it pretty unsuitable for prepping right beforehand. You'll need to prep somewhere away from the viewers - out of sight and out of earshot. The coin is too tight in its fit in the shell coin. That might change the more it gets used as the shell coin loosens up, but at this early stage of use, I found them too difficult to snap back together. In particular, if not done flawlessly smoothly, it can create a snapping sound as they click back together. Hopefully this goes away the more it gets done and the looser it gets. The guide did give instructions for how to re-tighten it if it ever becomes too loose, so I'm not worried about wear and tear for this.In any case, I'm really impressed with this magic kit. The guide is thorough, nice tips & trick demonstrations are provided, the quality of the coins themselves is spot on, and the trick itself is just so clever. The only cons are its price, which is pretty expensive for what you're getting (3 little pieces of shaped metal), and how long it takes before the trick can be performed (due to being too tight until it is worn in, and how much practice is needed). Regardless, I'm looking forward to getting to practice this more, getting good enough that I can make this a regular party trick someday.

Amazing Trick
This trick performed in front of me awhile back about nine or ten years ago. He did the trick by placing the two coins (overlapping) under an upturned glass on the bar and invited me to watch closely as he moved the glass around, causing the coins to (apparently) come together and become one! I was awesome so now that I found what was used, I am able to practice it. Then I performed in for my kids and their minds was blown away.

Did not work
It came weirdly formed, kept getting stuck even when using the ring to take them apart, and was dirty.

baffles the audience, impressive vanishing coin trick
easy to do, i do a variation and it works well. the drill is set a little too deep and you can't hand out the coin to the audience as the way it sits inside too deep, make it look like a trick coin. however, I keep my hands moving, flip the coin in the air and set it down on the table good side up. it is a mind boggling trick and worth the money. I have two sets and it really blows their mind as you can do 2 variations,
