Best kit for beginners

I did this with my daughter and my daycare kids and we loved it so much. I had to go buy more soap but the kit is great we made so much soap with it. Enough for us and 16 daycare kids and still have more left for next time and the molds were great and it was so easy to do.

Excellent kit to make soaps. Very good for beginners brings the essentials. I loved everything very good and I would buy it again a thousand times its quality is super I like it I recommend them 100%

I have made multiple soaps with this by now including using more soap base that I bought separately. I have weighed everything to give some close numbers so anyone buying this knows the approximate amounts to use. I saw reviews that said there is not enough base to make the full loaf mold in this kit, that is accurate if you do not use both bases that comes with it. 2 lbs of each type of base makes ~2.3 oz bars (half the loaf mold). If you mix the 2 bases it would make ~4 oz bars (full loaf mold) PLUS another ~full flower soap and a ~half flower soap. The loaf mold holds ~3 lbs 7.5 oz or 55.6 oz total, I filled almost exactly to the top of the mold. The loaf mold makes 13 bars when only using the first cutting guide at the wood side of the cutting box, not the open ended side. When I used all the cut guide spaces the first loaf I only got 11 soaps with one being shorter than the rest. 2 lbs of soap base made 11 soaps ~2.3 oz each when I used all the cut guide spaces. It would have made 13 bars of 2.3 oz if I had used only the first cutting guide spot. The square pink flower molds hold ~2.7 oz each or ~11 oz total for all 4 soaps filled basically to the top. The blue circle flower mols hold ~2.7 oz each or ~11 oz total for all 4 soaps filled basically to the top. I have not been able to get the straight cutter to cut perfectly straight at this point with only having made 1 loaf of ~4 oz bars. They all had a slant to them and were slightly different oz weights. The half (2.3 oz) bars seemed to cut perfectly straight. The full loaf mold comes out taller than the cutting box is so I had to line up the cutting blade with one of the cut guides diagonally and then start the cut before I leveled out the cutter. The scents are incredible so far, they last on the skin after washing my hands for a WHILE which I love. They are not overpowering to me at all even with lasting on my skin. The colors have come out beautiful pastels in the Shea base and more vibrant with the clear base. The lather has been great on the Shea and clear soap bases that came with the kit. They rinse off easily and after my hands are completely dry my hands are very soft and smooth. It feels a little odd for a few minutes after I towel dry them but that goes away. Commercial soaps have always left my hands feeling dry and not soft or smooth after completely drying. I really hope this information helps, it would have been VERY helpful for me so I could have gotten all ~4 oz bars instead of 2 batches of ~2.3 oz bars and 1 batch of ~4 oz. I definitely recommend this kit! It was fun to make the soaps that came with the kit with my mom and my kids. We had a blast and got it figured out pretty quick.

This soap making kit has everything you need to complete the job for a great price. The dye works really good, but takes a lot to get vibrant colors. The scents are good, but limited. It comes with heat shrink wrap which makes your soap look professional and the molds work perfect and are easy to clean out. The biggest complaint would be it only has one melting container making multiple colors difficult and the instructions are VERY basic. Overall, it is an all in one kit to get you started for very minimal research or money.

Update: I was able to do a return on this item and they sent the correct one to me without issue. It must have been a mixup when packaging. I haven't used it yet but it contains all items as advertised and looks to be of good quality. I ordered this complete kit that was listed as including 6 scents, 6 colors and the cutting box during Prime deal days. I was instead sent the smaller kit that comes with 4 scents, 4 colors and no cutting box and is listed at half the price. Prime deal days are over so there is no way for me to get the kit I wanted at the price I bought it at. Very disappointed in this transaction. It feels like it was a bait and switch and the company sent the smaller, cheaper item, hoping it wouldn't be noticed. Either that, or the packager grabbed the wrong item. There is no way to know what actually happened. But I would recommend steering clear of this item and company.

I just love this kit. Everything you need in one box. Amazing what soaps I made. Added some fragrances, flower petals, activated charcoal and/or colors after melting. Great for gift giving or self satisfaction. I love making things for myself and this is fantastic.

Comes with everything you need to make beautiful soaps. I used my own scents but everything was beautiful. Many options for mold designs, more than enough meltable soap, ample dye, and simple to make.

The kit contains everything to make your first batch of soap. Instructions included are very easy to follow. Both clear and milk soap base included. Most of what is included will do many batches, except for the base. You will need to buy more for multiple batches. Great value.

I really like it that the kit includes all tools needed for starter soap making, however, the instructions booklet is just too simple with very little details. The plastic pitcher deformed a little after melting soap base in microwave (as instructed by the instructions booklet) and soap base is not really good quality. I followed the instructions carefully using my microwave to melt the soap base but the end product that turned rubbery.
