I've tried all sorts of traps, and the best ones are always the old fashion metal and wood ones. These also have the classic small metal trigger instead of the larger plastic ones. I find that these triggers are harder to set... but also more sensitive and that's where the magic happens. I used tomatoes to bait mine... since my issue is rodents taste testing every ripe fruit. The traps that were triggered caught one and only hit the second, but found it dead a few feet away. The old trap I had was also set off, but with no luck... these are definitely an improvement as even when it misses, they still get hit in the head due to the trigger location. These are BIG rats and the traps are so far 100% effective. buying in bulk like this I have 8 more for future infestations, and the ones outside can still be used, so long as they are not left in the rain. Great value and overall a good product. Not posting an image because of the whole dead rat thing, but these work!

Works well and kills rats instantly - purchased some fancy looking pastic ones that were slightly easier to use but wasn't strong enough to snap and kill instantly, causing rats to flop around outside with the trap on their heads all night until they died from exhaustion. This kills instantly from what I can tell, which is way more humane for the rats and easier for me to deal with.

Caught more air than rodents. Very shabby! You get what you pay for. This product is not one I would recommend. If you try it for yourself be very careful. The latch is very iffy and the snap is very loud, my hands are still shaking.

As advertised. Easy to set, sturdy.

I bought these to put around my duck pen. Even if they do not catch a rat, they wear out quickly, and the staple comes out making them no longer usable. Good for about 20 - 45 days of use outside. Water/rain will set them off, and then the parts bend.

Product looks as it should. Although I’ve sent for a refund, only due to fact that I hit the wrong key in ordering . They were nice enough to let me keep product and still refund my money to a gift card.
