Small sized pill and hasn’t made me constipated (like most iron supplements) so far I think it’s good value for the money and I love the quality of Thorne products

A colleague told me about these and I gave them a try. I’m happy to report, after consistent use, the numbers on my bloodwork have changed and my body is better absorbing iron. I have not had any negative side effects. These are easy to consume with a smaller capsule size.

Very small capsules. Easy to swallow

I had all the usual symptoms: dull skin, wickedly painful heavy periods, depressing thoughts, low ferritin levels etc. After six days of using, the color in my face and hands came back. All of the symptoms I would typically get a week before my period never showed up, my flow and cramping was back to normal. It’s been three months since I started taking this and my hair is starting to thicken up again. My ferritin levels are also up and I haven’t had any issues with cold feet/hands. I started with two pills a day for the first month and switched to just one pill a day. I usually take it with a shot of orange juice or with a mandarin two hours before I eat anything else (or two hours after I eat), that includes coffee. Especially coffee. The pill obviously has a metallic taste so it’s best to swallow it immediately and not let it sit on your tongue. Sometimes I’ll burp and taste metal but it’s fine and doesn’t last long. It does make my poop black though, and smell weird, it frightened me at first but my doctor told me that’s normal. I’m going to keep purchasing this until my doctor tells me I can stop. HIGHLY recommend.

I took this iron supplement once and actually felt more energized the same day. I’m usually sensitive to iron, but this one didn’t upset my stomach or cause any side effects. The capsule is easy to take and feels very clean and high quality, which is what I expect from Thorne. Of course results vary, but if you’re low in iron or just looking for a well-absorbed iron complex, this one seems to work quickly. I’ll continue using it to see the longer-term benefits, but my first impression was very positive.

Update: The seller/company reached out to me to ask about my experience and offered a resolution. 5-stars for a company that stands behind their product and has their customers best in mind! I have non-anemic iron deficiency. After taking one of these every other day for about 2 weeks, I started to get unbearable daily headaches/migraines. I stopped taking them and went back to my other iron supplement (just iron & vitamin C, no folate) and the headaches completely resolved.
