Purina Tidy Cats Free and Clean Unscented Cat Litter - 38 lb. Box

Fantastic litter if you use it properly. I see folks saying it is sticky…if you have litter sticking to your cat box then you are not using enough litter. Think of a sandbox…need to be able to dig. I put about at least 4 inches in the box and have had no problems with scooping. And I have multiple cats. Nice hard round clumps that easily scoop. Odor control is fantastic but I scoop in the morning and again at night. With multiple cats I cannot leave the boxes to sit too long. I love that it clumps quickly and stays solid when scooped. No wasting of litter. If you get the big 38lb box, as I have switched to, then just cut the top enough to flip open and then use a small bowl or feed scoop to put litter in the cat box. This way you don’t have to lift the heavy box each time. All of my cats took to this litter immediately. I tried the pellet litter recently and they all went on strike. This litter is great!

I'll admit...I was feeling lazy and didn't want to have to run to the very back of the grocery store to see what Tidy Cat version they didn't have in stock. 38lbs is a lot to take a chance on, but I'm a 'stocker' and so I did.Except for the fact that I needed a hand-cart to bring it in the house, I am VERY happy with my purchase! This is TRULY unscented litter...no scent at all. And the order control is fantastic. I have two cats and sometimes you have to wonder what crawled up their butts and died.It works very well, clumps nicely, easy to clean. I simply replace the litter I scoop out and then do a full change once a month.

For some reason I thought the litter would be bagged into separate portions for each use (similar to how Costco does it for bulk amounts), where you open the box, take out a portion bag, open and dump it in the litter box. Nope. It's just a heavy box filled with loose litter. 5 stars still. It's good quality litter. Just be warned, it's a heavy box to attempt to lift and pour out of the spout slot thing (if you're getting the largest size). Save your back and use a large cup or scoop!

Have only used this brand from the beginning of rescuing kittens years ago.It does still throw dust and it will get all over everything.Keeps smells at bay.Good clumping and pretty easy to scoop.Will not use any litter that has a scent.Still gets tracked throughout the house even with several large litter capturing mats right at the box.My biggest issue is the box.My gosh!!It is super heavy for a woman to pick up and pour.NO HANDLES to grip the box.Hence the reason of a 4 star review.Other than that, I will continue to use this brand and no scent.

Box is thick and sturdy but I prefer the bucket. I have some plastic buckets saved for refills. Tricky to open the cardboard box but a box cutter to the corner makes pouring easier. Just cut out a triangle/pyramid off the corner then lift and pour. It helps to have a Tidy Cat bucket to pour into so it can just rest by itself at an angle to pour itself into the bucket. I feel bad though for the delivery guys that can use a dolly to lift heavy boxes to deliver. Someone really should provide a dolly or cart to delivery guys.

This kitty litter is awesome! Now, if only I could get the delivery person not to leave a 38 pound box right outside my front door where I can’t open the door

Item is great but product was delivered in manufactuer packaging and left out in rain. Litter is unusable.

even though the product works well enough it does not appear to be light weight. The packaging is over doing. The box is very heavy and next to impossible to open for either pouring or scooping. The box is too heavy to pick up and pour. It is 38 pounds. I looked into purchasing 2 smaller sizes but for the price of 2 smaller boxes you get less product. The box is difficult to open to pour or scoop. the package has 3 thick layers of cardboard to manage in order to use it.
