HooAMI Stainless Steel Silver Choker Necklace for Women

I bought this as a gift for my daughter-in-law, but she has sensory issues, so she was unable to wear it, so I kept it for myself. I love it. I don’t normally like things close to my throat, but it’s so fine and light that you don’t even feel it sitting around your throat and as it warms up, you forget you even have it on and it’s so pretty it is simplicity.

I suffered a central lobe aneurysm in my brain 23 years ago my neurologist told me I had to find a hobby where I use my brain and my fingers I chose jewelry making although I have had Parkinson’s and epilepsy due to that aneurysm for 23 years. I have enjoyed making all kinds of jewelry, including using these choker. I use the choker when I had cataract surgery and could not see the elastic thread. I usually use to string beads on a necklace. I could still feel the beats and the metal and see color in order to make the choker and I bought a large choker from Amazon during that year

It is pretty and shiny but I wish I could tighten it more around my neck (It doesn't seem to bend). My pendants have fallen off of it a time or two.

Potentially very nice, looks great, but the first time I wore it, the bead came off after less than 1 hour after wearing it. I hear it fell but it’s so tiny that I will probably never find it again.

There is a small "peg" that was welded to the neckwire that was part of the locking mechanism - a small hole was on the other end into which the peg was to be inserted. This peg broke off. I loved the neckwire until this happened. It is far too small to weld at home and a jeweler would charge more than I paid for it to "fix" it. It most likely would simply break off again. The locking mechanism was a bit hard to negotiate since it is so tiny and at back of neck. You can, of course, turn the neckwire around and see what you are doing in a mirror. It is possible that this peg breaking was a fluke and that other people will have better luck. I am now shopping for a different model. I rated with on star because it broke after simple use.

I've started wearing more jewelry in stainless steel for every day wear rather than sterling silver since stainless steel looks like sterling silver at a casual glance while also being easier to take care of (it doesn't tarnish). It also tends to be more durable and doesn't turn my skin funny colors.This piece is virtually identical to one I bought at a craft store and used for various pendants. That piece was made of some sort of base metal plated with sterling silver but my skin chemistry appeared to eat away the silver plating on the inside because eventually, I could no longer polish the inside and started to develop a mild rash on my neck every time I wore it. I don't think this one will do that...I certainly hope not.

It hardly touches the neck and is very light weight. Don’t do a lot of bending over and working it will slip off. But I would be lady like it wouldn’t.
