Definitely waterproof and heat resistant!
We've had these gloves for several months now and have used them to pull quart jars of canned fruit and vegetables out of boiling water baths, removed hot trays and pans from a 350-400 degree oven, and pulled hot chicken and pork right after coming off the grill or out of the smoker. In all instances they worked great! The cotton liner is comfortable and helps keep your hands from sweating inside the heavy-duty waterproof shell and allows them to be removed easily. Even though they have a tough outer shell, they are flexible and allow a good amount of dexterity. The glove is long enough that it extends beyond the wrist and protects about 4 inches of the arm. I wear a size large ladies glove and my husband wears a large men's glove and the size of these gloves work fine for both of us. Their cost is more than some of the other gloves we looked at, but for the quality of this product, we wouldn't hesitate to buy them again.

Awesome for high heat cooking/grilling!!!
These gloves are awesome for high heat applications. I use them for grilling/searing meat at around 500-700 degrees my grill. The gloves keep my hands from feeling the heat when I have to touch a hot surface and are very comfortable to wear. I tested them by holding the handle of my cast iron skillet (on my grill) at around 650 degrees while sauteing/searing a finished steak for 30 seconds straight, several times in a row. The glove surface showed no signs of wear and my hand stayed cool. They also keep my hands dry and protected when pulling corn on the cob out of boiling water. They are easy to clean and are textured for a no-slip grip on whatever I'm handling. I've had these gloves for about 4 weeks and have used them once per week since I got them. The gloves do have a rubbery type of smell but given the material they are made of, this is to be expected. However, there is no transference of that smell to any of the food I have directly handled with the gloves. One of the best quality purchases I've made on Amazon. I highly recommend this purchase.

Great oven gloves, liner makes things difficult.
These gloves are so close to perfect. They let you grip and hold anything hot, wet or dry. Easy to clean the exterior if needed. The only issue I have is the liner. You need to be super careful every time yo take them off or the whole thing will turn inside out making them extra difficult to put back on. Once you know this the problem is easily solved but it does make the process longer and frustrating.

A great design and they work and clean well
These were used to pull a briskit off the grill. The lining is soft and we did not feel any heat coming through the gloves. Very easy to wash. We had used the silicone type of gloves with the little nubs all over them. Those work ok but they are shorter than these and very much a nuisance to clean if grease gets on them. With these, we simply wash them as we would our hands. Just wear them, soap them up and put them out to dry. So happy with them that we bought another set for our son for use on his grills.

Great with heat, inner lining not so great.
I bought these as a christmas present for myself last year. I used them several times over the summer months because I love to bar b q. They were great for heat resistance when complete. After a few uses, I noticed the inner lining beginning to separate so I had to be very careful when removing them. Eventually, the lining came loose and came out while removing my hand. I had to then try to push the liner back into the finger holes with my fingers. I did that until it became so frustrating that I just cut the lining out. Now they are less heat resistant because all I have to use is the outer shell.

Poor quality
I have fairly small hands for a guy (normally medium size gloves), and the fingers on these were too short for me.I was using for cleaning a grill, and the heat from the steam came right through these.Revised Review:After the original review, the seller sent me an update pair of gloves. The issue with the finger size is fixed, so they fit correctly now.I haven't tried them with the grill yet, but the do feel like they are better insolated.Update:The lining pulled loose about the 4th time I took them off, so it's hard to get the lining straightened out and back into the finger holes. After using these about 2 dozen times, the finger tips split so they are no longer water proof. These definitely don't handle the heat at all, I can feel the heat from the steam and can only hold onto a hot object from the oven (375 degrees) for a few seconds before it gets too hot.

Im also not sure who these would fit best, Im only 5'10
Received and was moving charcoal to grill. Noticed heat coming though as I was placing charcoal in chimney. Product had apparently come in with a cut between the fingers. With the rubber cut or defective, you could see the lining, so therefore no longer waterproof etc. Im also not sure who these would fit best, Im only 5'10, with small hands, and these where to small, fingers on the gloves where to short. For my wife they where to big, she 5' even. Since there was a tear between the fingers, I cant say if they really resist heat as advertised, but they have a very harsh odor when they get hot. I wear a size 10 ring, as stated fingers to short. If undamaged when you get them, and your the right size fingers, this may be good.

Rubberized coating
after 10 months the coating is deteriorating, it became very gummy and sticking to everything it touches and between the fingers , can,t be use anymore, the fitting was very loose.

One size fits most (women)
Don’t recall why I bought them waterproof but I’m sure it will come in handy at some stage. Great for baking! Guys with large hands though, these may not be for you. I have Womens small hands and it is snug on my pinky

Great gloves for big hands
I've had these going on a couple of years now and I am overly pleased with how effective they are. They are marketed towards grilling, but I honestly use them for anything in the kitchen that involves a lot of heat. One of my favourite parts of these gloves is exactly that; they are gloves. I didn't realize how little I like oven mitts until I had gloves, and now I realize that the extra dexterity I get with being able to independently move my fingers is honestly a game changer. I feel MUCH less likely to drop things. That said, I will give a word of caution that of course these aren't meant for grabbing a piping hot pan out of the oven and just HOLDING IT FOREVER. There is heat transfer and yeah you're gonna feel it, but I don't grab pans out of the oven and then hold them for 5 minutes while I walk the dog. I'd say they have a nice solid 15-30 second limit on grabbing something piping hot and hanging on tight. But that is enough time to do what you need to do whether that's flip a steak on the BBQ or grab a pan of cookies that you're going to eat by yourself.I'd add one more thing, they are dead simple to clean. Since they are well coated, any grease or sauce or anything comes off as easy as washing my hands which is exactly how I clean them. Drop of dish soap and wash your hands like normal while wearing the gloves and they're back to fresh. I'd recommend doing this anyways if you're dealing with oil spatters, they will get more slippery even with the grippy coating in the grabby areas.Overall I'd highly recommend grilling gloves to anyone in the kitchen or at the grill, they have been fantastic.

Nowhere near the heat resistance....
I bought these gloves based on reviews and what I'd read in a few articles.Unfortunately these gloves offer barely any more heat protection than basic silicone or traditional oven mitts. I have to use an additional handle cover on my cast irons in order to hold them for more than 10 seconds....pathetic.Even with pans at 160 C (350 F) the heat sears through the gloves exceptionally fast. You can smell the rubber reacting with the heat.No way I'd test it out anywhere near their claimed 500 C....not safe at all.
