I bought the Knightsbridge JB0011 Weatherproof IP68 Inline Cable Connector to make it easier to disconnect my pond pump for routine cleaning, and it’s been a fantastic solution. 🔌 Exactly What I Needed – The 3-pole design handles live, neutral, and earth perfectly, and with a 16A rating, it easily manages the load of my pump. I can now safely and easily disconnect the pump without dealing with junction boxes or exposed wires. 🌧️ Weatherproof and Secure – While I haven’t submerged it, it’s been exposed to typical UK weather—rain, damp mornings, and cold nights—with no issues at all. The seals are solid, and the whole unit feels built to last. 🛠️ Quick to Install, Easy to Use – Setup was straightforward with clear markings and secure cable clamping. I needed a way to replace the clumsy plug and waterproof socket I was using for my EV charger as the plug kept wriggling free of the socket and arcing and melting the plugs. This was the perfect thing for the job. Very compact and well made, the seals are really good too, no concerns about it being out in the rain. Really easy to wire up, just remember to put the two outer collars on the cable before you wire it up! Being rated to 15 amps also means it's rated for the power going through it, the fuse on the extension cable being 13 amp, so no concerns about high load scenarios either. I would definitely buy one again if I needed to join cable together for outdoor use.

Good product, good price, quickly delivered, works well but more bulky than you'd expect

I needed this connector to do a cable splice of the power supply to a submerged rainwater harvesting pump. First impression is that it is well made and good quality, easy to assemble and would provide a high integrity connection. Only time will tell however whether this is effective and provides a truly IP68 watertight joint (meaning dust tight and good for being continuously immersed in water for a longer periods)!

Just what I need a twist release waterproof connector, I havent installed it yet but I can already tell that it's quality, gland grommet comes in two set that fits either a 5-10dia or a 9-12dia cable too bad it doesnt come with a cover cap when you need to leave it disconnected outdoors

They're easy to install and are made really well. They're small diameter and this means they can be rolled up easily when not in use

Great product perfect for using to split your extensions on construction sites

I have purchased several of these connectors in the past and they work fine. I have used them in light to moderate rain and also when there has been a heavy dew. I have had no issues regarding the resistance to water ingress. I do not use them as a permanent connection, rather to connect and disconnect. They can be a little tricky to disconnect if you over tighten. I find the answer is not to over-tighten the knurled ring. A firm tighten with fingers is all that is required.
