I'm happy with it for the price
The blade is similar to the standard Buck 110 but not exactly the same. The blade material is said to be the same. The size and shape of the blade is about the same. The blade on this knife has what looks like a satin finish. On the standard Buck 110 it's the blade is smooth and polished. The back lock on this is a bit thinner and shorter than on the standard model. I think this is a better value than the standard model, $31 vs $65. Very little blade play. The blade steel is better than the cheap Chinese steel often found on knives in this price range. You can buy an attachable Kwik thumb stud.

A great knife
Love the Buck 110, was my first good adult knife. The original is now retired but gave me lots of joy and service, I think I got it early 80's. Anyway this light version is just great for an all around inexpensive large blade pocket knife. I use it for everything from yard work to fishing. Can't go wrong with this one it will take a lot of use. Mine came sharp and tight, I added a lanyard to make pocket retrieval easier.A classic still going strong there is also a clip version.Made in USA

Excellent EDC Knife
The media could not be loaded. The lanyard hole is the perfect size to thread it at 1/4 20. Which is great for installing a pocket clip of your choice. This has been my edc knife for years, to the point where its an extension of my hand. I can't kill this knife. Cutting, prying, and anything else you can throw at it will not destroy it. I filed the clip point down for a screwdriver/chisel edge. No need for a thumb stud, because you can flick or drop it open.

USA made folding knife
If you are familiar with the Buck Lockback folding knifes that they have been building for ages, you will find this to be like one of those that was put on a diet. The blade is the same as far as I can tell, comes sharp, holds an edge well, and is USA made. Where it differs is the handle. Instead of a heavy duty (and heavy) brass handle with wood inserts, the handle is some sort of space-age plastic which is notably lighter and also somewhat slimmer. Honestly, except for the 'look' of the brass and wood handled knife, I actually prefer this one (I own both). This one is lighter and slimmer making it easier to carry around without getting in the way, and as far as I can tell seems to have the same locking mechanism. Only time will tell if it lasts for decades like my old brass handled knife, but so far it works just as well, and the important part (the blade) is every bit the equal of my old knife. In my opinion, a very nice modern version of an old classic.

Best Knife
My first Buck Folding Hunter was purchased 50 years ago. I recently stumbled upon this modern version using a (quality) plastic handle and bought one to try. A couple of months later I bought a second for use at another location. The size, weight and design make this a comfortable and useful knife (at least for my hands). The blade is a quality stainless alloy and arrives pre-sharpened. Unlike some other knife manufacturers, Buck makes their products in the USA.
