DIY Magnetic Fish Tank Protective net

I needed a lid for my millipede tank that also allowed lots of ventilation, and this works perfect. I did use my own mesh, not the one provided, but the structure is very secure and stable. Building it was a little finicky, specifically getting the grips to open and slot over the other tubing. The instruction sheet was no good to me but the videos were excellent. Would recommend

Sehr zufrieden, wirklich einfach zu montieren. Bei mir ist es seitlich montiert und hält super. Die Schläuche und Kabel sind kein Problem, ich habe an den entsprechenden stellen einfach den Magnetstreifen der das das Netz hält ausgespart, das netz liegt straff auf den Schläuchen und Kabel an. Ringelhechtlinge entkommen hier nicht auf dem Luftweg.

If you follow instructions this is super easy to install, you have to use a bit of elbow grease when connecting the magnetic tracks to the top piece but aside from that I found it easy. It only took me about 30 minutes or less to get it put together. It fits just fine as well. If you have a filter where you need to cut around, I suggest putting the final adhesive clips on the last step on either side of that so that it will hold flush on the one back magnets. I feel the quality is just as expected and good value for what you pay, I kept all the leftover pieces for future fixes if needed. My tank is 20 gallon and the width of the mesh was perfect to cover the length of my tank, I just had to measure the width of my tank and trim the mesh to fit that. So super easy. I feel like this will serve its purpose perfectly and I like if you measure it well it looks pretty seamless and nice, not an eye sore which I was worried about. It also does not inhibit my light either which is great. Will update later if it doesn’t stand test of time. For now though, super pleased!
