Universal Design for Learning in the Classroom: Practical Applications (What Works for Special-Needs Learners)

I needed to read this book for a class I was taking. I found the principles and guidelines very helpful in coming up with creative ways to make learning more interesting for my students! I love how the book breaks down the ideas into ways to use them for individual practices such as reading, writing, science, mathematics, history, arts. It gives ideas for low-tech settings as well as options for technology helps that support all types of learners. This book is going to be kept around for a long time and referred to again and again.

This book is one of the better textbooks written on UDL. Some chapters are better than others. The Guidelines of udl is really interesting.

I ordered this book by mistake, intending to order "Understanding by Design". I wish this were the required reading. This applies to my teaching of elementary music, piano and special education more specifically
