The net is at least 1/2 the size of one I bought pre-Covid at a sports store. I can’t find one to replace it. It was great. I haven’t tried using this one yet, but it should work on being able to catch some of my smaller chickens. A rooster might be too big for the net. The leg hook should work fine if it decide to use it.

I got this to fish my aquaponics tilapia and it's just the right size with a pole that is long enough to fit in my 175 gallon tank to get all the hiding fish. It's very lightweight but it's strong enough—definitely for the fish. I'm not sure if it would be strong enough for a spry chicken but it's good for my purposes and probably for rodents and small mammals. I do know that I wouldn't be able to let my boys play with this because they would destroy it 5 minutes.

Cheap material

Made it much easier to catch ducks. Unfortunately because we have a mass amount, I use the frequently to remove injured or sick ones and this net is perfect.

Doesn't publish lower star reviews. Not worth more than five dollars. The hoop portion of this item is in 3 parts, connected by riveted joints that are small and "flimsey". After using it several times to catch a loose hen, the net collapsed: 2 of the riveted joints snapped. The "metal hinges" actually broke, not the rivets themselves. It cannot be repaired. Bought it in December but didn't use it till June, so cannot get refund according to terms. I suggest looking for a net, where the hoop/frame is in one continuous piece. And examine any joints, closely! Even pricey import products from some places, are junk!
