For large electric hobs/gas
Edit Feb 2024:Got a gas stove, and I have to give credit where it's due, this pan is NICE! I tested the heat uniformity and it does pretty well edge to edge, making cooking protein + sauce a dream. Throw 10 chicken thighs in, or throws 2 steaks in, let it do it's thing and have the confidence of knowing that it will cook evenly. I love that you can also just take it straight from pan to oven if you're looking to finish dishes off slow.Original review early 2023:Pan looks and feels great to use. Upon inspection, it appears to be somewhere around 2 - 2.5mm thick. The problem? My pan has warped slightly due to it's incompatibality with typical glass/ceramic-top stoves. I can probably hammer it straight since it's very minor, but I now know that a 12 inch clad pan belongs on a gas stove. In all fairness, I think that I did not research my purchase well enough. This pan cannot distribute the heat from a 6 inch electric stove plate effectively, causing the centre to become signficantly hotter than the edges (about 20% when measured). As a result, it risks warping at medium-high temperatures (searing chicken/steak). non-clad pans with thicker sandwich bottoms (say 5-10mm) are less likely to warp on an electric stove. So, AND THIS IS THE IMPORTANT PART, if you would like a clad pan for your 6-8 inch electric stove, stick to an 8-10 inch pan or buy a gas hob. If you need a bigger pan for your electric stove, purchase a good quality encapsulated bottom pan (for reference, my 30cm Tramontina Solar casserole heats quite evenly on my 6 inch plate).

Great Product, great price
I've been in search of a good quality stainless steel pan that's tri-ply and with a superior food-grade type of stainless steel, plus a price that's not crazy high. This is that pan that I've been looking for. Yes it's not All Clad or Made In brand but the quality it this is undeniable. You still have to learn how to use it well and maintain it just like all other high quality pans. This made our cooking more enjoyable and much safer than Teflon type of pans/skillet. Get yours now and you won't regret it.

Totally Surprised by the quality and value from this set!
I was looking around for alternatives to non-stick pans and I always heard about cast iron and stainless steel but they have learning curves. I was looking for a set that wouldn't break the bank but wasn't poor quality and I found this set. I was purchasing as a starter set but after using the pans, I realized that this set is a quality set! You do have to assemble the pans by attaching the handles but that is no big deal to me!After I purchased them, I made sure to research on how to use stainless steel pans. It is really about technique. You have to make sure to properly preheat the pans or you can preseason them to make sure they have a nice coating to prevent sticking. After a few times cooking, it's very easy to use these pans and I prefer them over cast iron; especially for my steaks! Also, it is much safer to cook with since there is no chemical coating. The pans clean up easily as long as the proper technique is used for cooking. Everything can be scrubbed off without a scouring pad but if you do have issues, they can be cleaned with the scouring pad.I took a chance on these pans and I am glad I did because the quality for the value is great! I know some people will not like having to assemble them but it's not hard! I'm sure these pans will last a long time with proper care and handling.

Perfect pan
Best value for $40-ish price range. Cleaning is so much easier because it doesn't have rivets on the inside of the pan. I use it almost daily, love it!!

No rivets, easy cleaning, uniform temp. distribution
Having been on the business end of countless cooking vessels, the first thing I will say is I dislike handles with rivets protruding into the inside of the pan. I have not seen any riveted pans that are NSF certified, due to bacteria/food being difficult to clean, especially with dishwasher-only process. There's no good reason not to weld the handles, or attaching hardware, other than maybe being cheaper? It's nice to use a spatula and cleanly swipe the inside of the pan to get what you're cooking off the sides....rivets prevent that. The removable handle(s) are a nice touch. I have never had any issues with the nuts or attachment process. Maybe some people did but could be a defect in the threads, or overtightening. Put a drop of oil on the threads before tightening, and lift the handle up and down while final-tightening, which allows a completely solid connection, which I have never had loosen. BTW, the thread is a 5mmx.8mm common metric thread, so if you lose a nut (they give you extras) you can buy them on amazon. Some pans have the handle permanently welded to the pan but I like the removable feature, allowing storage in tight areas, or I sometimes keep it off and use the pan like a pie pan to bake with, and the handle being off, makes it less cumbersome in the oven. If you make skillet-browned cornbread, this works almost as well as a cast iron skillet. There are no lids with this but the price is great, and you can buy lids, or if you're like me, you already have lids that fit these saute pans. The lip of these pans are flared out, making pouring liquid/stew/etc out clean with no drips down the side of the pan. I measured temperatures across the bottom of the pan while heating on an induction cooktop. The temperature was very uniform across the interior, and the magnetic coupling to the induction coils was very efficient, indicating a good magnetic stainless steel used in the mfg process. To season the pan, I use either coconut oil, or avacado oil (not spray oil, as the lecithin used for release agent will break down under high heat). So heat the pan to around 400F (after first cleaning it), then wipe the oil to coat the pan's inside with a paper towel and oven mitten(s). This will greatly reduce sticking. So to recap, great pan, flat bottom, great handle and attachment hardware, easy to clean and use. Price is also very good for high quality pans. I've cooked several meals, cornbread, and desserts with them, and am still happy with my purchase!
