Q: Is this a good and practical briefcase? How is the quality?

This is the 15.6-inch briefcase from PETITE SIMONE that I'm using. I carry it with me for daily work, and it fits my 15.4-inch MacBook perfectly. It also has enough room for my charger, notebook, and eyeglasses case. Sometimes, I even like to wear it as a shoulder bag, which is very convenient when I need to carry a lot of things. Of course, it can also be a backpack. As for the quality, I think it's pretty good, very sturdy, and the zippers are smooth.

Q: Is there really a single shoulder strap? Is the strap long enough to wear as a cross body?

Yes. I just tried it and yes it is long enough for cross body. I am 5'6"

Q: What's the actual dimensions of the 17.3 inch bag? Airport maximum length for handheld bag is 18inches

Q: Does this bag open from the "top" like a backpack?
