Fit easily. Last a while

We live in a area with no very clean filtered water, we baught water from the shops all the time so we decided to buy the set up for these filters to try them out! They are amazing. We can smell and taste the difference in our water quality. They do not leak at all. They are super easy to fit and change when needed and they last for a few months before you need to change them so considering the price they are well worth it. The water flow coming through them is fast so it does function really well. Would definitely recommend

We had another fancy filter with its own style connector, problem was that replacements although larger were like super silly money. Then I realised the flexi piping to the connector was 1/4" so an easy job to remove the fancy connector and fit the tubes directly to these and at £5 each one in a pack of 3 a lot more reasonable. I don't expect these to be as good as the fancy filter, but water tastes OK and I can buy a lot of these for one of those.

I've been using these for a few years now. The water in our our area is good (Or so they tell me), and is soft. However, there is a taste of chlorine to it, not terrible, but definitely a tad unpleasant. This is why we tried this, and it TOTALLY gets rid of this unpleasant taste. Changing this cartridge every six months has served us well. Apparently, you can also change after "X" number of litres, though I've no idea how you'd measure that. A couple of years ago, my wife said she thought the filter needed changing (Based on taste). I wasn't entirely convinced, so I set up a little test. One glass of water with the old filter, one with the new, and one with unfiltered tap water. She placed them in order with massive confidence. Annoyingly, for me, she was spot on.

The product was well packaged and delivered quickly. Fitting was slightly more fiddly than my previous brand due the tiny plastic clips needed to secure the plastic water pipes. Once fitted, the filter was water tight. I followed the usual flushing process before first use (out of habit, I always run the tap for a few seconds prior to drinking filtered water too) Although running clear and looking ok, I got a distinct and unwelcome metallic taste that I’d not noticed previously. This is only apparent straight from the tap and not an issue when the water is boiled. I soldiered on for a couple of weeks but ultimately decided to swop the Aqua Quality filter for another brand with WRAS certification. I’d assumed that I could return the 3 pack of AQ cartridges but discovered I’d missed the returns window for this product by persevering too long hoping they’d come good with more use. I can’t live with the taste so taking the hit to get rid of them. I’d like to point out that it’s the product I don’t like and I have no beef with the retailer.
