I work nights at a large supermarket restocking shelves and the basic gloves they give us often become useless after one night of tearing open boxes where the grippy tips and dots just fall off or wear down immediately.This meant I either had to persist with compromised grip which could lead to damages or throw out the gloves every other night and get a new pair.Whilst I'm sure these gloves cost my employer pennies I was getting sick of the waste and had to find a solution I was more comfortable with. I was sure there had to be a more suitable glove I could use.After trying several different ones, nitrile coated gloves seemed to perform better in terms of lasting grip. However, a lot of the cheap ones still had a problem with wear along the index finger and thumb from tearing open boxes by hand. This meant I would still go through more gloves than I would have liked and felt there should still be harder wearing gloves still out there.I then stumbled across the CoolJob gloves which appealed primarily because they look so good and stood out from all the gloves. I was also happily surprised that the nitrile coating seemed thicker than on other gloves so it immediately lasted as long as 3-4 of the 'throwaway' gloves before succumbing to the same weaknesses on the index finger and thumb.I managed to prolong the life of the gloves though by using sports grip tape along the edges of my index finger and around my thumb and this prevented the gloves from wearing through at these weak points so that a pair of these can last me around a month, which means a lot less wasted gloves.Hopefully, these gloves will stick around as I love them, although if they came up with more funky designs I would be tempted to try those too!If you only need gloves like these for occasional use in the garden, for diy, or protection with manual handling around the home I highly recommend them too as they aren't likely to get the battering I give them night after night and should probably last much longer than mine do!CoolJob make my job cool!(Sorry! These Cooljob Gardening Gloves arrived just in time for my son and I to try them out.We had to cut and tame a couple of unruly hedges.Using a power tool demands good control and grip.These gloses did just that they are flexible enough to make it safe to operate a hedge cutter.Thicker gloves would simply not be suitable.The hedge included thorns- lots of them.The gloves though flexible prevented my hands and sleeves from getting pierced.The elasticate sleeves werelong and prevented much and dust getting under.On a lighter note the gloves do look good- not that that is a main consideration for protective gardening gloves yu can also operate a phone with the fingertips again not something I would recommend {dirty my phone?} but a welcome addition.Both of the pair have different patterns so no chance of getting them mixed up.If they can stand the test of heavy duty hedging them I imagine they would ge good for light gardening too.Recommended.

Great gloves, funky designs and useful with tech as well as gardening. No need to take your gloves off to answer your phone now providing they are not too dirty to mess up your screen. Cool job always make really good gloves that are ideal not just for gardening but also practical for dog walking too especially in the cooler months as the palms and fingers offer great grip than conventional gloves plus keep your hands warmer than without and now they have started to play with designs too so cool to wear. My husband has these pairs for his outside jobs but I also have gloves from this brand which I ordered before and use for dog walking.
