So so great! Bough it for a colonial costume for Halloween. Paired with khakis, powdered wig and long leather boots. It was warm comfortable and made the costume.Beyond that it’s really nice quality. If steampunk is your thing, you could easily put this into your wardrobe rotation.The fit was nice. I ordered a large to start then sized down to a medium. With that I’d say it runs true to size.

This coat was just what I needed for the pirate murder mystery play I was in. The material was better quality than I imagined, and it fit well too. The sleeves were a bit long but what pirate doesn’t have longish sleeves? 😉

Other reviews specified that it was a high quality brocade but I'm truly blown away.I'm 5'2" and it hits just below the knee.I'm about 175-180 38DD and 2xl is far too big. It's big enough that I could get rid of the vest and draw it completely closed with hooks. I'm considering that. If you have the same measurements and don't want to change anything then go with a smaller size. Amazon was recommending large but xl would allow a heavy sweater or adding a lining. Things to consider depending on your climate. It's gorgeous, I highly recommend.

I was impressed with this jacket. The detail, the cut, the way it hung, It does not run small. I ordered 2 to insure one would fit. 3X and 2X. Both were too large. I will try 1XL because I loved it. I am 5’5” @ 190 lbs. I hope this information helps you decide.

This is a very well-crafted jacket! The fabric is of great quality, a medium-heavy weight polyester (perfect for keeping warm during the winter or by the ocean), that is embossed with a beautiful pattern.The seams are top quality, surged with 1-3 strait stitches just above for a more secure hold - this is not a hastily sewn-together piece. It would be very difficult for the seams to come apart, but please note that with even great stitching, much like a person, when you treat a garment roughly, don't be surprised when it comes apart. Treat the garment with respect and it will last.The lapels have interfacing so they will keep their shape, as do the cuffs. The insertion of the lace is nicely done and is even throughout the piece (a very difficult task due to the lace wanting to wonder as you sew it) I can see that it was done correctly the first time due to there not being any secondary stitching which usually shows after having to rip the seam and re-attempt sewing the lace.Button attachment is very well done on both the ornamental silver buttons and the everyday-use buttons.The corners on the cuffs and collar are nice and sharp and where the lace-up portion on the back is also well-constructed. Instead of grommets, there are fabric loops that are polyester. They're very securely attached and thus far I haven't had an issue adjusting the fit of the jacket - no tearing or seam ripping.I sincerely give this jacket a 5/5 star rating.A lot of hard work went into this piece and it's honestly worth the price they're asking for it.As I said earlier, treat the jacket with dignity and it will last.I will be purchasing more from this shop.

I normally wear a size 12 or Large in women's clothing. I am pear-shaped and often order medium tops for a more fitted look. I am 5'6, 175lbs. I ordered the black in Large. I could have gone down to a medium. The sleeves are very long, covers half of my hand. I like the corest string at the back to accentuate my waist but I can't get it tight enough without creating a big poof at the back of the jacket. I still recommend it. I'll try a different color in a medium.

I am 5'5 and weigh 140. I ordered a large and it fits me perfectly. I have enough room to be able to tighten the straps in the back. The coat is made with great material. It will be perfect for riding in a cold mardi gras float.

I'm 5'2 and curvy, okay fine I'm on the heavy side.I got the Large and it fit great.I usually order things a bit bigger but this was great for my shape and size.
