Awesome psu
I love the looks and the rgb lighting of this asus psu, after using several different brands of power units,i far prefer asus over any other, from my experience the platinum rog series exceed the power rating by a good margin

Works fine, very quiet, like the power display on the side of the unit.
Typical ASUS excelant quality. The power supply works fine, very quite. Came with all the power cables I needed plus a few extra. Really like the input power (Watts) display on the side of the power supply.

Started Kinda Disappointing, Ended Hugely Disappointing.
The unit itself LOOKS great....awesome red and black cables, nice rgb, pretty and silvery and hefty. Comes with lots of cool little cable ties and attachment and stickers. But to see the cool NERV silvery side of it in the new EVA 2 Hyperion case Asus released, you have to point the psu fan up towards the bottom of the gpu. Not great for any good temperatures lol. And then once it's in you can hardly see it anyways, even with the little window....The worst was the coil whine. I had never experienced it before, so when it started dog whistle screaming I couldn't believe it......$400 part and it has coil whine. My Corsair 750w didn't have coil whine. My Thermaltake 850w didn't have it. Even the sfx 850w Coolermaster psu that I bought didn't have it, and that unit is notorious for coil whine!!I feel like I wasted my money....bit of buyers' remorse.....but my wife LOVES Evangelion and she is super into collectables and she loved this part when she saw it online, but she might not love it so much when it's screaming in her ear while she is trying to game.Crossing my fingers that the terrible sound will disappear after a while🤞🏼😞And since I never posted this review when I first wrote it, here is an update.....my wife's computer that I installed this in is now having issues, that started soon after I installed this PSU. Things like the pc crashing when trying to game and programs randomly stopping or crashing. I'm almost positive this unit is causing the issues. And I'm past the return window. Huge disappointment.

Don't but from these people
Dead on arrival, horrible service stuck with a worthless PSU that probably blew my 1000 dollar gpu. Thanks for texting the PSU before selling it. seriously great job guys.

top notch power supply with minor complaints
I got this PSU when I bought my MERC 7900 XTX as I have a lot more power draw (especially when I OC the GPU) and I wanted to protect my system a bit better as well. I feel like the quality of the components and build give me the peace of mind and protection I need. The PSU is quiet and has been great. The only reasons it isn't a 5 star product have to do with some very small complaints. First, while the cables feel a bit higher quality than the basic ones and are nicer looking, I found them to be quite thin for my cable combs and they only come in red and black which kind of forces your hand a bit in regards to what colors you can make your RGB if you want everything to look good together. Due to the thinness, it is also more difficult to get the cables managed in a clean-looking way. I fixed this by purchasing the CableMod cables for this PSU in white, and those are a bit thicker and higher quality as well. That was another like $80, though, as I had to buy the kit for this PSU and an extra PCI-e cable since the 7900 XTX takes 3 8-pins. Second, the screen is on the side which means that, for most cases, if you want to see the screen then you need to install the PSU with the fan facing upward. Thankfully, my current case has a mesh top to the basement housing, but not every case I've had in the past had this so this could present a problem. I also have a removable screen for bottom PSU fans that is no longer being used, but I prefer using that as it means the PSU gets air from outside of the case instead of the warm air already inside of it.This is a great PSU that just missed "perfection" by missing the mark just slightly on some design decisions.
