Buy Witch's Forest: Trees in magic, folklore and traditional remedies (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew) on desertcart.com ✓ FREE SHIPPING on qualified orders Review: A Treasure Trove of Tree Lore - This is a wonderful book about trees that is highly illustrated, mostly in color, and covers their individual and collective folklore, legends, folk medicinal use, charms, and more. It covers about three dozen species of trees, from aspens to yews while touching on many tree related subjects. How the trees relate to the stations of the seasons, the idea of the world tree, sacred groves, traditional cures, and enchanted forests are only a few of the topics included. You will want to refer to it frequently and I believe it would make a very nice gift, as do most of the books from the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Review: A wonderfully designed, beautiful hardback of interesting history on the witching plants - This beautiful book (and the other two in the series, the one on the Witch's Garden, and the one on Magic Mushrooms (and other ethneogens that have psychoactive effects) are SUCH a delight. I ordered all three of them together because I have developed an appreciation for books that may not necessarily be enormous tomes containing every single known fact on a subject, but which are smaller sized hardbacks that are beautifully printed, with lovely imagery and design, and which contain lots of interesting folklore and information. These Kew books are one of these books. Except they aren't fiiled with just basic information about the plants which appear(ed) in the Witch's Garden and the Witch's Forest-- I have been reading about witching plants for years, yet when I cracked open this book to just browse through, I ended up sitting down and literally reading it from cover to cover, and filling it with tons of mini sticky flags indicating information that I found interesting, new, and/or would like to record somewhere else so I can remember. I ended up reading all three books, cover to cover, in one night, and then began browsing Kew's other offerings. I don't see anything that grabs me yet, but I'm eagerly awaiting more books like this. A wonderfully designed, beautiful hardback of interesting history on the witching plants

I have most books on plants being a practicing witch for over 30 years. This is very informative. Not the best but certainly far more informative than a lot of others. Trad Witch
