Will this prevent the seat post on a bicycle slipping into the frame?

Yes, it's important to clean the seat post first and inside the seat tube so as not to contaminate the paste with any old paste or oil. It worked on my Enve carbon handlebars which were slipping. Remember to adhere to manufacturers torque settings and do not over tighten or you will risk damaging your carbon bike parts. Happy riding 🙂
