these got the job done - clamps on inner tie rod bellows boots
first I tried some random Chinese pliers that had good reviews, they didn't workI used these to crimp clamps on my car's bellows boots after changing the inner tie-rod ends.These knipex pliers got the job doneI have pictures of the pliers side-by-side as well as the completed clamps on the boots.You have to go at different angles to crimp the clamps - not straight on, and the knipex will do it with the side clamp.Also, the Knipex has a tiny gap - this is so you don't cut the crimp part of the clamp.
