I got this as a gift for my parents, and they absolutely loved it. It’s organized in a way that makes it easy to fill out while still being meaningful like a guided memory project. We ended up sitting around and filling in parts of it together, and it turned into such a sweet bonding experience. It’s a perfect gift for anyone into genealogy or family history.

I found the worksheets in the family tree work book super helpful in organizing information in different ways that I hadn’t thought of before. When you go searching for family and begin to research—- you gather a whole host of information. And then…. What do you do with all that research? This book gives you worksheets to organize and ideas to make your family research meaningful, presentable, and beautiful. That also helps you see what you have and where the gaps are. Highly recommend gift beginning and experienced researchers looking to create beautiful family records.

Overall this is decent and helpful for logging information about your genealogy search. It’s definitely geared towards Americans, specifically referencing American resources. There are some very helpful worksheets. It’s cool that there are things specifically geared towards descendants of slaves—to help them try to track their families—and for native peoples.It is interesting that they recommend at the beginning that you copy the pages so you can reuse the worksheets for more family members. I do wish there were some more fillable copies of each of the main worksheets in the book, though. That’s what I bought it for, not so I’d have to print out my own. Some of the instructions are kind of vague and confusing. An imperfect but decent purchase.

Just received it today and it's impressive. Makes sense for the most part and I can see how it will keep me organized and aware of what I've overlooked. I also have the companion book which is great too. The Author did an amazing job and I am in appreciation.With that said, I do have a question about a particular page that I don't have any way of getting answered. That's frustrating and makes me feel stuck already. (There was no option to ask a question for others to answer. I don't mean being responded to directly from the author.)

I liked the idea of the spiral workbook, however it was a little more in-depth than I wanted. My intention was to complete and give to my sister for her birthday, but no way was it possible in the amount of time required to complete.

A perfect way to store and keep your family's history for generations to come.
