Very impressed w/quality & ease of installation & use. Perfect for amateur vinyl listeners!
Super great speakers for the price! They seem very well constructed to my eyes--solid state components--and aesthetically are very attractive and look good on the bookshelf. I bought little $60 speakers from another brand first and they were tinny and unimpressive (returned! Thx Amazon; plz stop destroying the W. Post, though). These PreSonus speakers were a fantastic replacement; just goes to show I shouldn't get the best deals but rather the well-reviewed mid-priced items. I blame my budget-conscious parents teaching me to get the cheap stuff when I was a youngster ;) I'm sure true audiophiles could find things to complain about, but that's not me--these guys are loud when needed, the sound is crisp and deep both, and I can adjust the treble and bass as I want depending on the record. Easy peezy to set up, pretty light, and plugged right in to my Audio-Technica record player AUX/RCA output no problem--I set them up and starting using them in 5 minutes (once I cut through the extremely secure packaging). You don't really want Bluetooth for records, so these are just what I wanted. Specific rating: 4.7

Outstanding clarity, detail and flat clean sound
Eris Accent BT 4" Wood Grain (connected via USB): These are VERY nice monitors. I always prefer monitors for my office computer speakers for the flat, uncolored response, and that is what these deliver. These replaced a pair of Mackie bookshelf monitors that gave up the ghost on the left/passive channel. There is a beautiful level of presence, detail and clarity in both vocals and individual instruments on the Eris Accents that makes it feel like I'm listening to certain songs for the first time. Very nice, and considerably better than the Mackie's. Low end is solid all the way down to where it naturally cuts based on the driver dimensions and port resonance. Of course, the rest of the low end below this point is attenuated. Will eventually make this setup a 2.1 by adding the PreSonus 8" Sub to fill out the low end. In the meantime, I added +3db on the low end eq on the speaker which helps a bit but want to get back to that uncolored sound across the full spectrum. There is plenty of volume for my home office. Set my Windows volume to 50% then dialed in the mid-level of loudness that I desired via the speaker remote (remote is line of sight only), and this results in plenty of volume control via Windows alone. Connectivity options abound. Besides USB as my main source, I'll route my Echo out to the 3.5mm port, and connect my phone on BT. This amp is really clean through the USB connection, with absolute silence between tracks on Amazon Audio using the Ultra HD quality setting. This is another area in which the Mackies lacked. Overall very good monitors at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Amazing! Best speakers on the Market!
Well worth the price, probably the best pc speakers on the market. I’ve had them for about 7-8 months now with no problems! Easy to setup though it looks a bit intimidating compared to other speakers. Quality is clear and it’s very loud! I will note that when you first turn your pc on or start using the speakers after a while they do take about 5-10 seconds to kick on. I just call it the “warming up” phase. Again it’s quick and not that big of a deal and the quality makes up for the few second inconvenience! I can’t speak to the Bluetooth as I got the wired but if you are considering the wired version I’d go for it!

Decent, works well
Great looking speakers- they look better than they sound, although sound quality is decent. Paired them with a 8" Dayton Audio powered sub, good combo. The subwoofer output is low in voltage, have to turn the powered sub gain nearly all the way up for a decent balance. The bass control on the speakers seem to only affect the speakers themselves (in the 500hz and below range) and not the subwoofer, which is nice. Treble is very lacking. With the treble gain control at max, they're adequate and nothing more. Lacks the "brightness" or crisp trebles for lack of a better term. The power output for both speakers can't be more than the included power supply (20V DC x 1.8A = 36W) and judging by the display of my UPS watt meter, it's not even using that much at full volume. That's assuming the power supply/conversion to analog audio is 100% efficient, which it will never be. Suffice it to say, but 50W (combined) might be the max, but certainly not RMS. That said, they fill up a large room nicely where you won't ever need max volume (at which point there's very noticeable distortion). They make good speakers for my computer / bedroom TV so no real complaints. Computer hooks up via USB (something I'm new to, but works flawlessly) and the two RCA Aux inputs can be used for TV and something else if needed. Remote works fine. If I knew of something better for the price, I would have bought it, so there's decent value here.

Get these instead of the PreSonus e3.5s.
Pro, 1. I got these on sale for $5 more than the standard PreSonus Eris 3.5 studio monitors. 2. They have a lot more features like a remote control, a sub out for use with any home subwoofer, a 3 output option for switching between devices like TVs, record players, MP3 players, consoles, PCs and laptops. 3. A USB port to interface straight into a PC or a laptop. 4. A larger 4 inch main speakers and IMO better bass ports. 5. Better all around sound quality IMO with very adjustable highs and lows on the speaker control. 6. Has speaker grills to protect your speakers that are also removable(also look under cons for this). 7. A great look that goes well with anything from a living to an office connected to a PC. 8. It's very well rounded and works extremely well as a PC studio monitor if you're recording and listening back to recorded music tracks. 9. Very well built. 10. Very comparable to the Edifier R1280T Powered Bookshelf Speakers at around a similar price and they look very similar as well. The difference is the PreSonus are 50 watts RMS vs 42 watts RMS and the PreSonus comes with a sub out. 11. These speakers can get pretty loud for their size without breaking up. I was surprised. 12. Adding a separate subwoofer takes these speakers to a whole new dimension. It takes all the lowend off the speakers so they can get better clarity and midrange. Cons, 1. When not on sale these are more expensive than the PreSonus Eris e3.5s. 2. For a little more you can get the Bluetooth version of these same speakers. This didn't concern me because I'm using these as PC speakers and recording studio monitors. Others might want this feature so that why I mentioned it. 3. About the grills, they are removable and if you're using these as studio monitors or you just want more highend and midrange I'd remove them. IMO with the grills on they sound muffled. 4. Unlike the PreSonus Eris e3.5s, these speakers aren't as flat in sound like a studio ideally is, but the PreSonusErise3.5s tend to lack midrange. These speakers do have more midrange, but to get a flatter sound for recording music you may want to adjust the tone controls. I lowered the bass since I'm using a subwoofer and I increased the highend. I bought these to replace a set of PreSonus Eris 3.5s 1st Gen I got a while back that blew out. I bought these because I liked the way the PreSonus Eris e3.5s sounded, but I wanted more midrange, a sub out so I didn't have to but that expensive separate subwoofer being sold separately and more volume. This set delivers 💯. The only thing is to get that flatter sound for editing music takes a little tweaking, but it can be done. I'm using these with an older Elac 1010 60 watt subwoofer and it works great with these speakers.

WELL worth the little bit of money!!!
What a nice set of speakers! PLENTY of lows and highs for just about anyone. I bought these to replace a set of Bose Companion 20 speakers that were 10 years old and finally bit the dust. I am very impressed, I'm not an audiophile by any means; but I know what I want. I'm using these with my laptop in my home office. I've not really messed with the Bluetooth part of it, I use an insulated RCA line to hard wire them to reduce interference. HOWEVER, like other reviews have mentioned here, let them "break in" for a few days before you just crank them up. I just put some jazz on with the bass and treble set at 0 and let them play. I'm glad I did, there is a noticeable improvement in sound quality once the 4 inch woofers and loosen up and the tweeters get set in. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for the price. And yes, they do sound better than my old Bose Companion 20's (much better actually) once the break in period was done.

Great powered speakers for the price
These powered speakers look sleek coupled with my record player. When they arrived, the packaging was great and setup was simple and straight forward. It is nice having a remote to adjust volume from across the room. For the size of the speakers and the price, they sound great! At default, they are a little base heavy, but they have Eq knobs for base and treble. With a quick adjustment, they sound very balanced. Being able to hook my phone up to them on a seperate channel with the provided cable was a neat feature i didnt know i would enjoy as much as i am! great speakers for the price.

Awesome Studio Monitors
The product is solid and has great volume. Clear and articulate sound. Great for music production and listening. Be aware though these are Gen1 not Gen2 and the advertising does not stipulate this fact. These do not have the hissing problem others are complaining about with the Gen2's. Also Presonus does not allow a free download on the Software that is advertised here on this product, that feature has been discontinued. Keeping the speakers due to sound and quality and was given an adjustment in price. Highly recommended otherwise. One other thing and it's not the sellers issue but Presonus calls these 4.5" woofers. They are not, they are 4" and only a half inch bigger than the Edifier 1280T 3.5, although they sound a lot better than those.
