Installation could not have been simpler: plug it into a standard outlet, and you're ready to go. I prefer the slim design greatly; it does not take up the second outlet, so I can still use that area. Why I’m content with it: Easy to set up: No special tools or difficult setup — plug and play. Definitive signals: It features an easy-to-read digital display that can give confidence that it’s working properly. Loud Alarm: It is loud, as I have tried out and is able to wake me up or gain my attention quickly. Trustworthy brand: Kidde is a brand that can be trusted, and this smoke detector is robustly built. All in all, it gives me actual peace of mind that it is protecting my home. I'm likely to buy another soon for upstairs — would highly recommend!

This carbon monoxide detector is simple, compact, and very easy to use. There isn’t much of a display—just an LED indicator—but it still does its job well and gives peace of mind once it’s plugged in. The alert tones are loud enough to hear from another room, which is great for safety. One thing other customers should definitely know: the low-battery/alert chirp sounds exactly like a standard fire alarm. When ours started chirping, we went around the house checking every single smoke detector before realizing it was actually this device. So if you hear a mystery chirp, make sure to check this unit too. Overall, it’s functional, straightforward, and provides solid leak detection. Just keep that identical chirp in mind and you’ll be all set. Highly recommend for an easy layer of home safety.

This is replacing the last Kidde alarm that I owned, which was identical. It lasted 10 years without changing the battery and was very functional. It is reasonably priced, and I like the protection that it provides. Very easy to install. Just plug it in.
