The size of this item is just right for my baking needs. It can be filled with chocolates or frostings, frozen and they pop out easily. Amazon made the choices very easy to find the right seller for me.

We used this diamond mold to made galaxy gems for a school market day! It was definitely a hit! The size of each diamond is much larger than I expected. So cool!

I had a choice to make with how to use these: cake or resin. Being as this arrived in the middle of the holiday season, I took it as a sign to go all in on baking. Deciding to jump in with both feet, I chose to abandon my original cake idea, in favor of experimenting with this tree mold right out of the gate. Using some leftover baking ingredients, I decided to create a little forest of gingerbread trees filled with dark chocolate. Winging it, I started by filling each soft cavity of the silicone mold by hand, creating space for my filling by shaping it with my fingers. Once I had the hollow shapes I wanted, I chilled the mold and dough while my oven came up to baking temperature. FYI, I added my dark chocolate right before baking. Getting the mold to stand on the eight tree tops was a tiny bit tricky It mostly requires a strong flat pan to give the points of each cavity something solid to rest on. Once you have the filled mold on a flat pan, you simply fiddle with the tips on the bottom of the mold, until they all look evenly spaced and upright. The best part of this mold turned out to be how easy it was to use. I ended up getting a great bunch of cookies right out of the gate, with little effort. The final products looked cool and ended up getting compliments on both taste and appearance. When it comes to cleaning and storing this mold, it is very compact and squishy. Cleaning it up was very easy, particularly since my cookies released from it so cleanly. I will note that hand washing works best with silicone, but the light color of this one does show stains. The stains don't impact the molds performance, so unless you need your mold to remain pure white, it's not really a problem. I am obviously very pleased with these. They have already brought out the creative baker in me, as I am genuinely excited to try making more things with them. If you like the like the tree shapes this mold produces, whether for edible or nonedible creations, I recommend it.

I requested the stick shape mold which has 8 individual cavities. The mold looks exactly as shown in the ad. The silicone is a good thickness, sturdy, releases easily, and is easy to wash. This shape would work well for making ice cubes that will fit in small mouth bottles such as a 20 oz. soda bottle, or for making cheese sticks or short bread sticks. The cavities are approximately 4.25" in length, 5/8" width, and 3/8" depth.
