A valuable resource for understanding Google Cloud Networking and preparing for certification exams
To pass a Google Cloud certification there is no substitute for hands-on work but having a companion guide like The Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Professional Cloud Network Engineer Certification Companion is especially valuable because it will help you understand key networking concepts, specific details of Google Cloud services, and the kinds of questions you can expect on the exam. The book starts with an overview of the Google Cloud’s professional network certification exam, including topics covered on the exam and how to register for the exam. After that intro, we quickly get to the focus of the book: learning the concepts you need to understand to pass the exam. Each chapter focuses on a particular area of networking and the organization progresses logically. The first chapters focus on network design. I like the attention to networking in Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and configuring VPCs, which we want to get right the first time. Chapter 4 covers VPC Service Controls which are security policies that define perimeters around services that help control access to services and reduce the risk of data exfiltration. The chapter on load balancing covers the variety of load balancers available and by the end of the chapter you’ll know which load balancer to use for different requirements. The book also covers other topics we need to know to manage networks in Google Cloud including DNS, Cloud NAT, and the two types of Cloud Interconnect (Dedicated and Partner).I especially like Chapter 8, Managing Network Operations, which brings together many pieces that you need to manage in real-world network operations and includes a good discussion of how to use Cloud Logging and Cloud Monitoring for network operations. This is a valuable resource for learning about networking in Google Cloud and preparing for certification exams because of the combination of high-level design principles, the clear explanation of concepts, exam-like questions to assess your understanding, and the attention to detail about the services covered in the exam>Note, that this is also a good resource for preparing for the Google Cloud architect and cloud engineer exams as well which include questions about networking.

A must have for GCP Engineers!!!!!
What sets this book from the hundreds of other tech books I have laying around is the detail Dario provides. I actually worked with Dario several years ago and even then he was running circles around everyone. I was fortunate enough to directly reach out to talk about the book, instantly I could tell he is supremely passionate about what he has put into it the material, I went ahead and picked up a copy. Almost every page has architecture diagrams and he repeatedly breaks up the dry content with analogies, ex. this the brain of the network, this is the body, etc of a network. The GCP Cloud Arch is my next cloud cert to study for and where I am lacking is network stuff, I am code slinger not a hardware guru. This is helping me to understand the power of GCP global VPC over other options. I can't wait to see what he puts out next, I just wonder when he sleeps.

Recommended for anyone getting into GCP Networking
I ordered this book as I transitioned to Cloud Networking as a career. This book was absolutely phenomenal in getting me up to speed with networking in Google Cloud. After reading the book, I was very well versed with core GCP networking resources and concepts. Although I have not taken the GCP Network Engineer exam, I do recommend this book to all the engineers incoming to GCP at my current position.

Fantastic Resource for Networking in GCP
The author does a fantastic job preparing you for the certification while teaching practical theory. If you are studying for the certification, this is an excellent resource. If you are not studying for the certification but want to accelerate your knowledge and "know-how" of GCP networking, this is also a fantastic resource.

Well thought out, easy to follow.
I don’t usually write reviews, but this book is so well organized and helpful I thought I’d give it a nod. The material is structured in a much more user friendly manner than other GCP guidebooks. It would certainly be of benefit to anyone attempting the GCP Engineer Cert exam.

Good contents VERY small fonts
I'd be happy to pay $5 more for greater page count but can comfortably read the book.
