Awesome for dry to normal skin that won't break you out and will give you a glow!
I have been searching high and low for a natural (ALL natural and not MOSTLY natural) sunscreen that will keep my skin from getting burnt, looking like a mime/dead person/clown, moisturize vs dry out my skin more, not break me out, and is waterproof. This sunscreen checks all the boxes and then some. When you go down the 'natural' route...there are products that use some natural, mostly natural, and all natural ingredients. Those that do the all natural ingredients are few and far between. I have researched numerous...and I mean numerous sunscreens for one that is ALL NATURAL without titanium dioxide, a non nano zinc oxide content ABOVE 20%, waterproof and is tinted. The list is very short at that point... For those of you with normal to oily skin and who are used to chemical based sunscreens that absorb into the skin and leave a matte finish...this is not it. You will hate the feeling of this sunscreen 'sitting' on your face all day and not absorbing. If you also do not like the smell of cocoa butter you will dislike this too. I personally love the smell and it reminds me of hot cocoa. For the rest of us that prefer moisturizing sunscreens for our dry and sensitive skin...this is it guys! As long as you understand that this is not meant to 'sink into' your skin but instead act as a barrier to the UVA/UVB rays...you will be good. This lasts all day, through the hot and sweltering and humid Florida summer doing the watersports (because the sweat and humidity in the summer feel like they are water sports)! I do reapply mid day if I've really been pouring sweat to be safe but the beeswax does a good job of beading the sweat. As the name implies, it is a moisturizing cream so there is no need to apply a separate moisturizer. I apply this after a few serums in the morning and my face is happy all day. When I go to wash my face in the evening, it is nice and moisturized and not red or irritated. I have been using this a few weeks now and can happily report that I have not broken out at all. It has not irritated my face eczema or caused a rash/redness/pimples. I no longer have dry patches on my face when I wash off the sunscreen either so I am very happy at this dual purpose sunscreen that does all that it is supposed to do and then some. The proper amount for the face in sunscreen is 1/3 teaspoon or the size of a nickel. You should give yourself about 30 minutes to let it sink in before you head out or else it will have a little bit of a sheen to it--some like the dewy glow and some don't. It does absorb and not gleam as much after a little. There is no white cast and when you sweat, the tint is not running down your face and leaving white streaks. If you apply it only in the morning and are inside all day, by the evening, the sunscreen will have little to no sheen and you will just look like you have healthy skin. I love this sunscreen so much and all the benefits that each ingredient has for the skin that I bought another color. My skin matches great to the coconut tint but I also bought the bronze for those days when I want a little more color.

Amazing ingredients. Goes on easy. A little dark for fair skin but not too bad!
Bought this because it is tough to find a tinted SPF with quality, safe ingredients for a decent price. I think the price is great for the quality of ingredients! The product goes on fairly easily as it warms quickly once you get it on your fingers. I have fair skin and this tint is fine for the summer, but I can see it looking too tan for the winter. Once it settles I'd definitely set it with a powder (I just use arrowroot powder) because otherwise it feels greasy on your skin when you touch your face! It offers a nice tint that seems to help to even out redness. It doesn't really give too much coverage at all, but I knew that when buying! My only complaint is I wish there was a lighter shade available for winter months! The smell is a little earthy but didn't bother me and I did not notice the smell throughout the day. I will also be trying honest cc cream to compare which I like better, as this is another option with quality ingredients for a more affordable price, however, Raw Elements is definitely the winner for sustainability and packaging!

Expensive, but Good Antioxidants, Pretty Tint, 100% Natural Formula
Nice tint: I love the slight tint it gives to my skin (I have light-medium olive skin). When I wear it, I’ve gotten probably about 3-4 compliments that I look healthy (my partner said I was looking really “good,” but I knew it was the sunscreen adding that extra oomph). By putting a little on top, it helped me to eliminate the white cast from my badger baby formula sunscreen that I was called ghostly for wearing by many people haha. Expensive - biggest downside: It does have good packaging and truly all-natural ingredients, but the price gets me. It’s so small (palm of hand) that it makes you want to use less because it should be conserved almost. But I don’t want to feel limited in the amount of sunscreen I use! I love the list of antioxidants but am thinking of switching to badger tinted sunscreen instead just to for go the price (but it's got fewer antioxidants variety, and I've read the badger tint is more pink and not good for olive tones, yikes—you get what you pay for!). The first application I probably put on way too much (a good “size of the finger tip”-carving (3/4-1 tsp?). I couldn’t imagine how it lasted 2-3 months as some had said of regular use. Still - this price beats the cost of some "high end" products which cost 30-40$, come in 1 oz tinctures, & promise the world But this brings to my next point... It’s Moisturizing but don’t use too much: It is definitely moisturizing, but if you do what I did and go crazy, it just feels like it’s sitting on your face all day, waiting to rub it’s brown tint over anything you might contact with it (e.g. your hands, shoulder, pillows/furniture). If you want a sunscreen that totally “dries” on, then oil/wax sunscreens aren’t likely not for you, unless you don’t mind having minimal coverage (but people tend to not use enough when they apply!). The best thing to do is to apply is gradually in sections of your face, bit by bit. Don’t try to rub a chunk in because it would spread out quickly and you wouldn’t get full coverage, if that makes sense. Better to do more of a dotting method to make sure you use the proper amount. If you use the right amount, the moisturizing affect will last you the whole day, unlike many other cream-type of products. It even acts as a sort of makeup because it looks so good (I don’t usually wear foundation for practicality and skin health reasons, but I’m digging this!) Comparison to other options: If you need something to cover more than just the face I would try out Badger tinted which is less antioxidant ingredients but more affordable. Badger reviews sound like the tint is not as pretty either...but again, $$$. If you don’t care about some preservatives, nor water-proofing and have fair skin, try badger Damascus Rose facial sunscreen. It runs off with water (e.g. if your eyes water into it) but goes on super dry because of the aloe/water/cetearyl alcohol-based formula. But I water-based formulas won’t be water-proof and will def contain preservatives which could impact slim microbiome. PS one other plus: it doesn’t not run into eyes to cause burning like some water-soluble formulas do. I’ve used an oil-soluble for the eye area if using water-soluble for the rest of the face. Don’t ignore eyes for sun protection as people tend to when using SPF moisturizer!!) Bottom line: All in all, if it’s in your price range, 9/10 would recommend. It’s a little sticky especially if you use too much, but highly moisture-locking, gorgeous gorgeous tint, wonderful antioxidant ingredients, convenient and eco-friendly packaging (I think). I plan to buy this again and attempt to pair it with badger tinted or another brand for the neck to make it last a bit longer. This is a high quality product so I want to keep using it, just the price gets me.

FIVE STA-RAW-S 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟———- :o
Wonderful! I have very dry sensitive, aging skin so I am VERY HAPPY to report this product is extremely user friendly for a customer with specific requirements to maintain skin health. I love the oily:greasy slick feel of this moisturizer. I couldn’t be more pleased with the color and pigmentation of this salve/screen. It functions as well or better than some of the best foundations and concealers I currently own. And rest assured, my current makeup inventory includes heavy hitters like Charlotte Tillbury, NARS, Dior, Lancome, Giorgio Armani, Westman Atelier, Milk, IT cosmetics, Bobbi Brown, Kosas, Ilia, and I use primers such as Smashbox, Tatcha, Dior, MAC Cosmetics, Estée Lauder, Glow Recipe, and Laura Mercier, to name a few. So I can cross reference Raw Elements to those products directly and quite literally, Bc every day I layer Raw Elements under or over or under and over any combination of those “prestige/high-end” products. And honestly, I am stunned to see that this sunscreen improves the look and feel of my beat face. Signicantly. Raw Elements gives my makeup a natural tone and glow, and it nurtured my skin underneath. It never breaks down my makeup and I find that VERY impressive and defiant to the laws of physics as I understand them. Most product would make my makeup streaky and blotchy. This formula is truly a holy grail for me. I slather Raw Elements on my face repeatedly throughout the day and I can honestly say I would be devastated if the product were discontinued. I’ve used it daily for 6 months now, and it has never done me anything but a kindness. The smell is literally rubbing off on me. I have no allergic reactions to report and no downsides to this product. I’ll say once again, I have VERY VERY sensitive skin. I am prone to acne and eczema and this paste gives my face neck and ears life! Not once have I had a sunburn breakout or rash. No perfume smell to irritate my nose and eyes either. Raw appears to be the real deal in my opinion and I will likely subscribe and save it on my amazon account Bc I am sold! Manufacturer, please DO NOT CHANGE THE FORMULA unless you are required to by law. Until then, 5 stars, thank you, and keep up the good work! I’m on my second order!❤️

Applies sticky and never dries down
This product is wayyyy too sticky. It NEVER dries down. It applies wet/ tacky and stays that way all day. I’m a BIG sunscreen wearer, so I’ve tried many brands. I originally bought this because I was using a GREAT mineral sunscreen (Mineral Sunscreen from Sun Bum) with a nice formula but it gave a white cast. This made me look for a tinted mineral sunscreen and lead me here to this product. Unfortunately, the product is awful. I’m usually pretty tolerant. If I get a product I do not like, I will usually still use it until it is empty but just not purchase it again. This one is SO BAD I have to return it. I bought Unsun tinted sunscreen instead and that brand is much better. First, if you are not tan or olive toned like I am, I recommend the Sun Bum mineral sunscreen 100%. It only did not work for me because I am brown and it has a white cast. Second, if you are brown or want a tinted mineral sunscreen, I now recommend Unsun Everyday Tinted Mineral Sunscreen. Unsun also has other tinted mineral sunscreens. That brand is the best for a mineral sunscreen that is also tinted.

Excellent sun protection for dry skin and dry climate.
I live in a high desert, have Irish skin, do lots of outdoor activities, and in the past few years, my skin has gone from normal to very dry (I’m 50). I’ve been searching for a non-chemical sunblock that is effective, doesn’t have a white cast, and doesn’t irritate my eyes when I sweat. This product nailed it! I used a generous amount on my face this weekend while I built a fence. Sweated a lot and did not reapply. No burning whatsoever. Did not make my eyes sting. Love this stuff. The only negatives are that they don’t do a great job helping you figure out what color is best for what skin type. I use bronze when I want a little coverage and pearly sand when I just want a wee glow. It is very moisturizing. For me, this is great, but for those with more oily skin or who are concerned about an oily look, might want to consider a quick dusting of face powder or arrow root powder.

Light tint means that there is no whitecast for tan skin but
Light tint means that there is no whitecast for tan skin but it is VERY heavy. I have oil combo skin and definitely felt like this product added another layer of skin. When used on hot summer sticky days, it is quite uncomfortable. Because of the thick consistency, it is hard to apply evenly...I top this off with a foundation powder, and it will apply patchy because of uneven application of the sunscreen. I imagine this could be good for skin that is dry/normal. It clogged my pores even though I "double cleanse" using an oil based makeup remover.

Detailed 6 month review by wife of purchaser
Overall, I like this product. I like that it is plastic free. I like that it is unscented. Here are the caveats... I was originally looking for a zero waste alternative for Tizo photoceutical’s tinted sunscreen. They ended up being extremely different products. However I still find this one very useful . This product has a shiny rather than a matte finish. It has the feeling of a light salve rather than a lotion. It doesn’t really diffuse light or have the level of pigment that a makeup product does. I am 40, so my skin is aging. I have pink dry areas in winter and some fine lines. I find that powder makeup doesn’t work well with my skin anymore. My younger self would probably have used this product as a base replacement for lotion and then gone over it with a matte powder. As I used this product through the winter, I found the best application for me was a tiny bit of lotion and stick concealer over problem areas. Then, this over the top to smooth everything out and lock in moisture. Now that it is spring going into summer, my skin is generally improved. I find that I can use this alone except for a little translucent powder around the hairline (To prevent any product transferring to my hair and making it look oily if I sweat). It does not function as a concealer, but it does have a very slight warm tone that evens out my pink areas. The oils in it seem very nourishing to the skin, and it is not excessively shiny. It does have a slight scent of hemp oil, which I don’t love, but I prefer to a strongly scented product. I love being able to use a plastic free product that protects my skin from dryness in the winter and sunburn in the summer!

Love it!
I absolutely love this product. It is so nice to have a natural non toxic sunscreen that doesn't go on completely white. I like the smell, it's a bit like cocoa. And speaking of cocoa, that is pretty much the colour. I have pale skin and it goes on well! I do recommend! However, I am disappointed in the packaging, especially as it is not how it was advertised. It comes in a pump bottle not a tin container. This is problematic for a couple of reasons: 1) It is a thick product and I often have trouble getting it to pump up and out. They suggest warming it a bit, but still this could be avoided by putting it in the container that was advertised. 2) It will lead to significant waste of product. I really wish they would switch back to the container that is used to sell this product here on amazon! Regardless, I will be buying again because it really is a great product and besides the packaging I am very happy!
