I have bought a lot of official firetv replacement remotes over the years that equal the cost of a new stick and I just refused to do that again. I searched a lot for a generic replacement to never find one until October prime day 2023. I was only hoping for a simple remote for $15 or less that could control the stick. I was fine using a separate remote to control the tv at that price point. I was floored that this thing was $11 on prime day sale and had tv controls, voice control, streaming buttons, and was backlit. I found the screen shot instructions very easy to follow and was able to set up the remote quickly with no issues. I had no issues getting used to the button placement. Absolutely love it after 3 days of use. The first day it felt like the remote button to tv action response was delayed sometimes but that seems to have cleared up after more use. If it didn’t, then I got used to it or the delay is too small to notice anymore idk. Honestly At this price it is definitely worth the gamble.

So disappointed. This looked great, but it wouldn’t work with our Fire TV. We wasted like 20 minutes trying to pair it and finally gave up. I’m returning it.

I bought this for the backlite, Hulu button and being compatible with 4k series fire tv.Pros: backlite is awesome. Hulu button is convenient.Cons: mute button lowers volume. Down volume button raises volume. Up volume button turns off volume. Power button decided not to turn off tv.Direction says to contact them if you need assistance, but failed to give contact info.I tried way too many times to get it to work and decided to buy the upgraded Fire stick remote with all the above features. Activated it in less than 5 minutes.

Title says it all.The remote itself is beautifully made and the backlit buttons are fantastic. Unfortunately it does NOT work with our fire tv, though the product description and the included instructional pamphlet says it will.If it will work with your TV, you'll love this remote. Unfortunately, the product description is wrong as far as what it's compatible with

Does not work with Fire tv

I thought the design was great. Nice grip, slightly bigger then the actual fire stick remote.BUT...I connected it through Bluetooth fine. Then you have to program the volume and other buttons to work. It wouldn't find/or connect to the TV remote to program properly. It has a step to face the remotes and they read each other (or something like that lol), tried the volume it worked, tried to shut the TV off and now it's adjusting the volume with the power button.Then the fire stick told me the remote had to do a update. Clicked "OK". It wouldn't do anything. Said updating for over 10mins, finally shut it off.Decided to return item. Very disappointing

I bought this as a second remote for the Firecube v2. Once it was set up, the original remote no longer worked with the Firecube. This may be due to my technical capabilities and not the device's failing. As a note I did buy an Amazon brand remote. and it worked after syncing it and the other still worked.

The remote works fine but does not update itself (so every time you turn on TV you get annoying message that the remote is updating but it never updates)
