It has a built in timer with 3 options for duration.The fan is very quiet. Great for qt and small tanks. I’ll be getting a few more.

I use it as supplemental center lighting on my 75 mixed reef. I have 2 AI prime hd16 that are on the tank and I’d say this light is about 1/2 as strong as those BUT it has a nice color spectrum and the corals like it. It would be suitable as a solo light in a nano set up for softies/mushrooms

I should have written a review earlier, but I am a novice at salt water aquariums. For the most part I believed this to be a great purchase. Features and overall construction seemed solid. Then, flickering started to happen. Then from flickering to turning off completely. So, within 6 months I had what seemed to be a great product turn into a failing product. Unsure if it was vibrations from the pump that loosened the cable to the bulb? I may possibly buy another.EDIT: hygger customer service saw this review and reached out for a warranty covered replacement. And I greatly appreciate their initiative as the new unit light does not flicker when changing modes. A much better light than what came with my tank.

If you are unsure about this light for a pico saltwater tank just buy it! we currently have 2 of these lights, one on a 2.5 gallon Pico, and 1 on a 5.5 gallon Pico. PAR readings are super fantastic and easy to work with coral growth is beautiful. I easily hit three to five hundred par on my 2.5 with light about five inches from water. Light is 6 inches from water on 5.5 and gives reading from 300 down to 75-50. Timer works nice these readings are at full brightness with white and blue.

Great light for 20 gallon. Has a lot of options and illuminates well.

I was excited about this light for my nano reef replacement. Had it for 2 days running at the mid brightness and noticed on day 2 that it was really dim. It got so hot the glue holding the glass in melted off. Be careful with this. It’s said because I really liked it. Plus I noticed using a different timer for it made it turn on to default. Like a factory reset

Great light. Works fantastic on my 20 gallon pico reef. Highly recommend it..it has a very nice shimmer when set on blue. Highly recommend it.

I originally got this for my small 5 gallon tank, it worked perfectly, corals happy, nems happy, great coverage, just wish it had an easier way to tell how bright the light was on. Once I switched to a 20 gallon tank and got a second one they don’t seem strong enough even with 2 of them. I like the ability to move the arms around if I need to adjust it, it doesn’t fit well over a standard tank lip it’s awkward and falls if you move it wrong. Cord length is nice. I wish the timer was a bit better, I don’t want it turning back on after 6 or 9 hours when it’s set to turn off after that amount of time but I also don’t want it on for 12 hours.
