This was broken on arrival.One of the pegs holding the pencil section up was snapped off.I could still just about try it out though .2 ends, one uses a bearing wheel to roil along the shape to be marked out and is more for wavy smooth lines.The other is for running a spike along on more jagged type shapes.You put the pencil in the holder and turn the gold wheel to tighten it in there.The holder can still move up and down the tool, there is nothing to keep it in one place which seems like a design oversight.You don't get a precise copy with either end even if you tape the pencil holder in place.It feels too wide, as though you must avoid catching the curved black ends on your shape to be traced.Cant recommend
