If you're playing any army in Warmachine, you have your automatic includes in every list, and the Squire is the auto-include for Cygnar. On its own, the Squire is a dumpy little ball of a bot that assembles easily with a body and two legs (Requires some holding in place while glue sets), but once it's assembled it stands up well and creates a nice little support piece on the tabletop. Detail-wise, the Squire is a little sparse, but has enough details like tesla coils, pouches for carrying supplies, a scope on the left side, and some nice mechanical details in the legs and back to give it a more steampunk-y look. For such an unassuming little thing, the Squire does great things for the warcaster its attached to. It enables its controller to re-roll one missed magic attack roll per turn while its within 5", it increases the controller's control range by 2", which makes spells that affect the warcaster's control range extend even farther, and it can give its controller up to three additional focus points per game. It's not much, but it makes Cygnaran warcasters much better at casting attack spells, buffing friendly troops in their control range, or just picking up extra focus for spells, boosts, or additional attacks. On it's own, the Squire is a pretty unimpressive piece that would still make a nice support droid in a steampunk army, so if you're in it just for the model, the Squire's a pass. However, if you're interested in playing Cygnar, the Squire is an ABSOLUTE MUST. No matter which 'caster you're running, the Squire takes them from good to great, and can make or break your game.

When you play Cygnar there are certain models you auto include almost no matter what list you plan to play. One is a Junior Warcaster for Arcane Shield and the other is the Squire.The Squire gives your Warcaster a free focus. It's limited to 3 times a game but at high level game play, 1 focus at the right time can get you the win. Every Warcaster in the entire Cygnarian army benefits from the Squire which makes it a must have model.The Warmachine blog Dice Wrath grades this model as an A+.

If you play cygnar, you need one of these. Almost every caster in the faction benefits from it.
