This is a good idea form a main manufacturer of disability aids and power packsPros+ good quality design+ batteries easily replaceable by any good mobility scooter shop/maintenance place+ can be used (strapped down) in a taxi or car as it has wheelchair points indicated for travelling in whilst in the chair (with chair seat belt), unlike some of the ultra Folding chairs+ the chair has swing-away removable leg rests+ the chair has a folding back+ the chair folds to pack down into a boot+ the chair has the standard ‘quick-release’ wheels+ the power unit has a removable battery unit to make charging easier+ the power unit can be controlled by the user or the attendant/carer+ is fairly straightforward and under 3 minutes to remove and connect up after travel pack down+ is easy to learn and use+ is good in most situations such as lifts, museums, shops, and hard compacted Earth and hard compacted gravel (proven during my ownership, turns on itself (always good and unlike the ultra folding power ones)+ works on pedestrian subways despite steep angles+ if there is a power issue (eg you forgot to charge the battery after the day at the zoo, you can self-propel and/or easily switch to self-propel like any standardly available chair (again an issue with the ultra folding ones)Cons- older style design (thus a bit on the heavier side)- Uses the non-lithium batteries- is not a ultra light weight “active user chair” but is lightweight for this style chairBy ultra Olding chair. I refer the widely available style like ez-fold and I-go, because I moved from those to this. And this is what I found and compared and would have wanted to know much earlier. I’ve listed it here as I couldn’t find the information I wanted to know on this chair anywhere else.Nb mine was second hand and super solid. Obviously best to buy new buy shows the quality of these :)
