Highschool of the Dead Color Omnibus, Vol. 2: Volume 2 (HIGH SCHOOL O/T DEAD COLOR OMNIBUS HC)

The second omnibus of HSOTD continues with volumes 5-7 of the original manga and comes complete with the entire Lightning Pop Art Book in place of a 4th volume. This is the only place I've seen an English version of the art book, and it's gorgeous - packed with full page art from HSOTD as well as the excellent Triage-X.The book, as can be expected, is of the same insanely high standard of the first Omnibus and is the same size except for being a small bit thinner. All of the praise I gave in my review to the first volume can be applied to this as well. In particular aside from the 3 volumes and art book, this also has a ton of extras of it's own, including more art, concepts, commentaries and a detailed guide to all of the weapons and vehicles featured in the series. You will be surprised at the tiny details that the author puts in place, and reading about them in his notes will provide you with a new-found respect for his work, and it's well deserved too. The only thing missing is the sexy beach chapter that appeared as a special OVA on the anime series, I would have loved for the manga adaptation of that to be included but sadly it wasn't.If you liked the previous volume then this is a no-brainer, its just as good as the first. The bad news is that there are no more after this as the series stopped at volume 7 without any conclusion. I'm still hoping that the series will continue someday, though even if it does it would be many years before another work of art like this omnibus edition will be available.

I am so fortunate to drop on the now sold out and rare volume 1 was browsing market place and came across vol1 for sale quickly snapped it up which prompted me to be able to buy volume 2 these are amazing very well done beautiful colour editions big sturdy and heavy, ide hoped for a volume 3 to be done but no luck

It's pretty easy to look up this book and see the quality so I'll just say it's damn good.The book cover can be removed to reveal uncensored pictures below which was a surprise and the reverse of the book cover can be used as a poster, the poster has nudity on it so be careful where you open it up. It's a shame the poster looks so nice because I want to use it to protect the book.I haven't read volume 1 (not arrived yet) but quickly skimming through this and it has new characters that aren't in the anime so I can't wait to start reading.

My favourite manga of all time. Excellent condition. Amazon please get gold of the next volumes in colour as well. Volumes 3 to 7. We arnt able to get the continuation at present.

Great follow up volume to HotD Omnibus Vol 1. Fully colour, all action. Interview with the creator and more info about the weapons, etc., used by the gang. Would recommend.
