Chainmail Coif Armor, 18.75 Inches

I had bought a few helmets on Amazon that were advertised as being for large, or one size fit all. Unfortunately, all of them were too just a tad too small for me. I decided I'd forgo a helmet and try a chainmail coif, and boy am I glad I did. The opening in the front is just big enough so I can get my chin through and it rests on to of my eyebrows. The quality is amazing. It comes heavily oiled as not to rust, and the black plating is great, it isn't just black paint, it is an actual plating on the chainmail so it should not wear like black paint would. Since it is a plating, though, it is a very dark grey, and not a true black, but no complaints from me. The chain links are a high gauge steel and not aluminum so this thing is HEAVY. I honestly believe it could be battle ready with its durability. If you're considering getting this, the price is great, and coif is great, I highly recommend.

I bought it about a year ago and it looks shiny and spectacular. Great value for the most money. I’m sure it will last forever. Comfortable to wear.

Definitely blown away at the quality. I really suspected something kind of cheap built, but this is actually Renaissance fair quality. Definitely fantastic for the money.

Real, oiled metal. Only issue is it stained my shirt.

Fits my husband and he has a big head. Its not tok heavy for my husband but I could see how it could be too heavy for someone smaller. 10/10 would recommend. Just had to cut the stuffing g out of the cap that came with it and it fit perfectly!

Very nice, smooth clean look. Price is great for quality. V shaped face opening is a bit small if wearing an arming cap underneath. Overall looks great. (Butted mail not for actually steel weapon combat.)
