Can you change the handle like the real one?

I got mine a couple of years ago and the handle is held on with 2 wooden pegs that can be tapped out to remove the handle

No a well thought-out question. Depends upon the strength of the metal that you're trying to cut. The amount of pressure you apply. If there is any material defects.

What is the handle length?

The tsuka comes in at 11.5 inches or 29.2 cm. The real problem with the sword is the weight, the handle doesn't feel long enough for how tip heavy it is. It's not an easy sword to steer even with the longer tsuka.
