Helps find causes of DC arc blow
Has helped me detect magnetism issues in all kinds of welding equipment. Works well to help eliminate arc blow issues.

Not Working!!
Bought 2 of them and they are not working as expected. The indicating needle is sticking when placed near the parts being examined.

Works great, but it’s fragile.
It works well. Just be careful not to let it anywhere near a magnet, or it will break. Even some refrigerator magnets will do it.

MAGNETIC FIELD FINDER
Had a problem with stray magnetic fields on my airframe. Magnetometer would not align properly. Using this device I immediately found the source and, with my TIG unit, was able to eliminate the stray fields and test to verify they were gone. Wish I had been aware of this tool years ago.

Nice manual gauss meter
Easy to use, reliable...perfect for what I need. If you need a reading accurate to decimal places...this won't work. If you need to know if magnetism is present and a general idea of how strong...this is perfect.
