Don’t waste your money!
After 2 weeks they both failed. I bought 2 of these dehumidifiers 3 weeks ago and they worked wonderfully for 2 weeks. They pulled lots of water from the air and I could see the humidity drop on my humidity meter. The machines not only removed water from the air but pumped a lot of heat into the room too as a by-product which was great. Strangely both dehumidifiers smelled of burning electrical components from the moment they were first switched on but I put it down to the fact they were new and it was dust burning off inside. They use an awful lot of electricity too at around 50p per hour each and you need them to run all day. Then after 2 weeks, within a day of each other they both stopped collecting any water. They were both still running and using electricity but the heat was no longer being emitted and no water was collected from this point onwards. I believe the burning smell had been the heating element failing from the start. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that they both failed at the same time and believe they are selling faulty stock. There are plenty of other reviews that all say exactly the same thing has happened to them too. I think any positive reviews for this product were probably left during the “honeymoon period” before the product stopped working! Don’t waste your money!

Impressive and efficient dehumidifier than semiconductor dehumidifier
I am very happy with this dehumidifier and it's very efficient to dry my little flat at ground floor! I've also tried use this to dry clothes indoor during raining days and yes it works. I am not sure why there are that many people rate 4 stars here but rate 5 stars for those semiconductor dehumidifiers (maybe the price I think?). This one's design make it far more efficient than semiconductor design. I bought one semiconductor dehumidifier and need to return it because of the noise and low efficiency! The actual dehumanization is related to the house temperature and humidity so not 3L at all times but could drop the humidity from 60% to around 50% for a night. Picture to give information about the size quite compact. And the low speed operation very quiet and okay for the sleep. High speed enough to dry clothes (well some days it even dry my room to 40% LOL). If you need to do a heavily dry task go to the compressors which would be much noise of course, If you would dry little cabinet, the semiconductors are okay. But this one definitely suitable for a little flat or studio. Only problem is the tank lid is difficult to open and I still can't open it until now. I use the the hole on the top and the gaps between lid and tank to pour the water out. You could use hose (included) to drain it if you want.

Faulty Faulty Faulty
I bought this and worked great for 6 weeks and then started blowing cool air and stop gathering water. Became useless. Amazon suggested to contact supplier. After many emails and video evidence they agreed to send new one (they didn’t want the broken one back) and worked great for a while and now same thing happening again. Now reading reviews which were limited last year are mostly the same as mine and same shared experience with Dr Prepare Customer Service. They are obviously getting these made cheap and poor quality control and selling them making money in hope people will eventually give up and go away. At a loss at what to do now. My suggestion to others who are reviewing is to avoid Dr Prepare at all costs

Good (for Amazon), bad (for supplier)
I bought one of these for a one-bed bungalow my family and I are staying in whilst our house gets gutted. We were really happy in the first week, so I bought a second to complement it. 4 weeks in, great product. They were quiet, collected lots of moisture, helped with clothes drying, and kept the bedroom and lounge (where the kids sleep) free of condensation. All is good. 6 weeks in - neither product worked any longer. No water was collected in the tank and no heat given from back vent, despite the fan still running. I cleaned the filters, checked all round, but could see no obvious damage. This is the bad. As I was outside the return period, Amazon advised me to contact the supplier, which I did. Put frankly, their customer service is *dreadful*. I contacted them four times to be met with requests for videos of the product (when I sent them, they stopped responding), requests to send them back to China at my cost, and twice ignored. This continued even after I contacted Amazon's own customer service who intervened, only for the supplier to yet again request videos of the product. The good? After raising an investigation, Amazon stepped in and resolved for me. As ever - Amazon have been faultless. Buy at your risk. Not fit for purpose.

Good for a short time/possible fault
I've had this for approx 6 weeks. It's was fabulous at drying laundry for 5 weeks but has started to make an angry wasp sound every now and then which I am a bit scared to leave it on unattended incase there's now a fault. I have been using it daily for approx 4 hrs each day. So maybe this is not intended for that kind of labour, who knows. BUT it does a mighty job at drying laundry, especially that it heats the room with warm air whilst doing so. I am just VERY Worried it might short-out because of the noise it has started to make in the last 3 days. I have contacted the manufacturers in China as I'd like a replacement. I actually hope it's just my machine at fault because it's been my best dehumidifier yet until recent funny noise (I have 3 dotted around my home)

DO NOT BUY. lasts about a month
When I first got this product I LOVED it, what a fabulous gadget for the home and it really worked well! I purchased this product on 28/10/23 and around 3 days ago 08/12/23, I noticed the floor around the dehumidifier was wet, the windows were still foggy and the dehumidifier was omitting cold heat. Totally gubbed in just over a month. I left it for a few days, returned and the same thing is happening. Dr Prepare do not give a warranty to amazon customers for the faulty products that they sell, please avoid this even if you're getting a decent deal! Off to buy a Meaco now!
