Great little tool
This little metal cutter works great and fits both my DeWalt drill and impact. It has made cutting raised roof and siding panels so much easier. This purchase was well worth it. I've already put dozens of hours using this and it still cuts perfectly every time.

Excellent Product
Excellent addition to my special tool. I tried cutting chicken wire, galvanized iron sheet .0124 inch thick, no problem. The price and quality is reasonable. I'm highly satisfied with this purchase.

Useless
Either the picture is reversed or I got parts for a different model. The rod is supposed to go in a hike that's threaded and too small. I can't figure out the plastic clamp piece. There no picture of it in use and I don't even know what it would be for. I just stuck the head in the drill and screwed the grip(handle) on.I tried it on chicken wire and a couple other things.Once you cut in up to the cutter everything becomes clumsy. It takes 2 hands to run this thing so you can't manipulate the material your cutting. So if your cut is not than 2 it inches it won't work .The directions are useless.I just tried it today because I've been hospitalized much of the summer, so it's too late to return it as of 3 weeks ago.So I bet $20 and lost, like a scratch ticket.

Worked well for the price
For the price, it worked well. I used it for corrugated roofing (across the ribs) which it did begrudgingly. :) the angle of the throat made it a bit tricky to articulate over the ribs but it did do a nice clean job overall. It’ll come without proper adjustment but if you take the time to make sure both wheels are right and set properly, it’ll work well. You can rotate it and use the handle instead of the rod to “steer” it and to get closer to the metal when climbing over the roofing ribs. I cut 16 feet in total and it still cuts well

If you do not have metal cutting experience this tool is not for you
Was skeptical about this with the reviews...but...bought it anyway.I think I see and understand the negative reviews and have some things to add to help clarify.1st. I used this on metal...22g and it cuts it just fine...the reason I bought it was to cut squares of flooring to use as pads/silencer pads to quiet the steel weights in my test weight carts.I had pictures of me cutting the steel sheets and the flooring (vct or whatever they call that stuff) but can not find the pics this is all i could find.2nd. The flat outer non knurled wheel is adjustable...it need to be run in and have the same pressure against the other wheel as a pair of tin snips/hedge trimmer blades have against each other. Too loose and you will get the cuts like you see in the pictures posted....too tight and it will bind up and not cut well.3. Add a bit of oil to the blades to help the disks slide over on another.. remember you are tightening them to one another.4. Use a variable speed drill on a very very slow speed....the slower I went the better/smoother/straighter my cut was. Don't use an impact driver...5. Get the angle right on the drill and duct tape a paint stir stick to the back of it to let the stick ride on the metal and it hold your drill at the right angle to you can concentrate on steering and pushing. Plan your direction of cut...this tool operates the same way red and green snips do.....IT IS DIRECTIONAL WITH THE UP AND DOWN PUSH!Do those things and this little tool is a great little cutter. Don't think for a second you are going to use it for a construction tool or industrial use or even to cut all the panels on your new barn roof. But for the occasional cutting and light use this is a good little tool. For 20 bucks don't thing you are going to replace your kettle shears or nibbles or even your red and green wiss snips.

Okay if you rarely cut metal.
Cuts metal how you would expect a $20 metal cutter to cut it. If you cut rarely and don’t mind marginal appearances after the cut (it tends to get waves, a result which might be handled by adjusting the blade), then this is for you. If you want to cut frequently I assume there are tools of better quality out there. 5 stars for value, 2 stars for performance. The assembly instructions are poor.

Exactly what we needed
Works just the way its stated. No issues. Note its for thinner peices of metal, not thick peices which i only needed it for smaller peices. Great product!

No good for metal roofing
If you’re cutting flat sheet goods, it works fine, but if you are cutting across raised ridge metal roofing, it is worthless because it will not stay on track or take a bite while it’s going over the ridges. Don’t buy it to use on metal roofing, buy a nibbler
