I have a pair of the same type of pipe shelf brackets supporting a shelf in my garage. I needed additional brackets of the same type to construct a shelf in a walk-in closet.This design is an excellent idea, but you need to be careful to measure the inside dimensions of the brackets to ensure they will accommodate your shelf. As pointed out in the graphics, similar brackets often aren't as deep as these are. And even worse, in some big box stores the pipe brackets labeled "12 inch" only accommodate an 11 inch shelf. You want the shelf to sit flat between the piece that's attached to the wall and the end of the pipe. (The shelf should sit perfectly flat on the pipe.)These are well made and the finish is even and looks professional. The threads are smooth and the ends mount very easily.I didn't deduct any stars, but although mounting hardware is included, the screws are only 1/8 inch. I'll replace those with 1/4 inch. The amount of weight that can be supported is directly related to the fasteners you use. I believe 1/8 screws are too light.Overall this is an excellent deal: I'll be able to support a 72" shelf using all four brackets. The cost for the set of four is comparable to the cost for only two in big box stores: Highly recommended, but replacing the fasteners is advisable.

I'm using a single track of these pipes, backed by my trusty wall, to keep those books standing tall. I got the golden idea from this set of pipes, so the rest of the shelves are mostly Gold in color!
