This is fantastic. I travel quite a bit and take this everywhere. It is both a steamer with alot of power) AND also doubles as a small iron! you can steam several pieces with the water reservoir attachment. HIghly recommend. And I think a travel publication listed it in their BEST STEAMERS column, that's why I ordered it.

Definitely not that compact. I ordered it for traveling but it's no smaller than my every day handheld steamer. It does work well, but takes a few minutes to heat up. Holds a fair amount of water. If I remember correctly, you need to hold down a button to release steam.

First, I only use it once a week for some pants that always come out of the dryer somewhat wrinkled. That means I can live with this steamer's small water tank. I bought it because it has a metal plate that you can use to do actual ironing. However, I have found using the brush attachment works just as well if not better on my pants. With these points in mind, I am very satisfied with the Proctor Silex Steamer.

Convenient when you’re short on time or don’t want to iron!

I bought this steam iron about 7 months ago and have only used it 2 or 3 times. Since the second use, I noticed it wasn’t producing steam properly. I stored it for a while, and today, when I tried to use it again, it simply doesn’t work at all. I want to make it clear that my complaint is not about the seller — everything with the order was excellent: the shipping, packaging, and delivery time were all great. My issue is with the product itself, which turned out to be very poor quality. I will now try to contact Proctor Silex directly to request warranty service.

I purchased this for a recent trip to New Orleans and it worked perfectly, steaming out wrinkles that had developed after our clothes had been in our luggage. My daughter's top had quite a few wrinkles and they all came out easily and she loved the steamer. This will be great for my husband's work shirts as well, to get out those random wrinkles without having to bust out an ironing board.
