Portable Bluetooth MIDI Keyboard Controller, With 25 Key, 9 Backlit Beat Pads, OLED Display, 8 Knobs, Software Included, USB Powered/Battery Operation

I made a whole ep with this controller connected to my iPad and beat maker 3.. The pads aren't responsive to a softer touch because you have to edit the curves... Put it at soft with a threshold of 10 and you have yourself a mini mpc at a fraction of the price.. The value is insane coming at 95 bucks.. The on board software is a plus.. No more needing a pc like my tempo pad and Bluetooth is stable with 0 input lag, great functionality and it's easy to use.. Just wish they would have thought about offering a case for it... I would like to travel with it and protect it during transportation. The option to remove and put batteries is a major plus for longevity. Great job avatar instruments!

Don't be like me and assume the Bluetooth doesn't work when it won't pair under your general settings, you have to pair the controller from within whatever app you are using (koala)

So after a month of using the device the pads are much less stiff from use and honestly I find this to be one of my favourite midi controllers for iOS. You are not going to find another pad controller with this much value for the price. I see a few reviews saying they get double triggers and the pads are too stiff so that warrants a lower review I guess. Imo it’s five star quality , Avatar just needs to give us a firmware update with more sensitivity, the ability to use the cursor for midi and banks of faders like the knobs.

I loved the customizability of this pad. It had all the makings of a great MIDI controller with the endless encoders, the faders, and transport buttons. Unfortunately, the most important part of the product, the pads, were very disappointing. They were too firm and not responsive enough for finger drumming, making them a huge performance killer whether recording or playing live. There also does not seem to be any settings to adjust the sensitivity. A lot of missed notes, so I ended up returning it. @HXM, I would 100% consider this again if the sensitivity was improved, and would even consider replacing my MPC Live 2 with this.

I wanted a device with programmable knobs, sliders, AND buttons to interface with my Roland S-1. The drum pads were an afterthought, but I've quickly taken up fingerdrumming just for fun. The device feels solid, definitely not built like a toy. The menus are intuitive and easy to navigate. It's quick and simple to change a lot of settings at once, and it seems like the designers really thought it through. At this price point, that's refreshing. Clearly I'm really happy with this purchase. The only minor bit of feedback is that I wish there were more colors available for the drum pads and buttons. I took a risk based on one video review, but I think this is a good controller and I have no regerts! I'm actually fighting the urge to get the keyboard now...

04/02/24 - while working on a beat the thing freezes and all buttons lit up. tried turning it off and on. that didn’t work. tried to reset. that didn’t work. took batteries out and replaced with new ones. that didn’t work. fun while it lasted, but purchase at your own risk. changed to 1 star. 03/29/24 - Like the title says, got this with the only purpose to use with Koala Sampler on an iPad Pro 12.9 inch connected to a magic keyboard. Reason I mention all of that is because this midi controller is a lot smaller than I thought, and I like it. It sits perfectly over the keyboard and under the display like it was meant to be. Once unboxed, I immediately threw in some double a’s – paired to the iPad… and started midi mapping to the functions I use most in koala. Paired the pads 4 banks, the play and record buttons, the two knobs closest to the pads for sample start/sample end… threw samples on everything single pad just to make sure everything I will be using the most works… and it does. No noticeable latency for me… no double taps… no troubles. So far so good. I’ll be sure to try to put it through its paces before my return date is up and I’ll report back… Pads aren’t bad… a little stuff/hard, but hoping they start feeling better after they break in a little… overall build is surprisingly good and on par with the name brands offerings at similar price range… for what I wanted/needed this is perfect. i'll try to remember to add pics when i have a chance. 3 stars so far.

for some reason the cubasis only works for iOS devices not Android. Google said it had something to do with licensing. as for the hardware it's very nice. I like it and it's very well priced and easy to map. thanks very much. would recommend.
