I am glad I bought this, because I was sure the wires were not live, tuns out they are!
Works well. I bought it as a "just in case" when wanting to look to disconnect some wiring. Glad I did now since they were LIVE! Saved my life :)

Batteries included and works straight from the box.
Deliver on time, well=packed, it has worked very well so far, detecting the flow in various situations, including underground, in trees (for hidden cameras) and in the workshop. Two batteries required were supplied (insert the positive terminal of the new battery towards the tip of the instrument) and it worked straight from the box. One page of instructions are fairly helpful, e.g drawings, diagrams and pictures, although the instrument is intuitive.Recommended.

Got this to replace my old tester, it works perfectly the built in light can be useful too.
