I've been insulating copper hot water pipes in some new construction. Pre-made elbows like these really speed up the installation. I ran out of my supply and these were the only ones I could get quickly at a reasonable price. They are OK, but the interior hole is really too small for 1/2" copper pipe. The seam that allows you to install them doesn't completely close unless you apply a strip of duck or aluminum tape. In my application it probably does not matter, but I might feel different if I was using them for freeze protection.

This is a poor product that is virtually unusable. It is maybe half the thickness of standard insulation elbows. Cannot even use with standard PVC insulation because it is so thin. Spend the extra money and buy a quality product!

Met expectations

Pre-cut insulation tubing designed to fit pipe elbows to make the insulation more effective and inclusive of all the pipe twists and turns parts. The insulation foam is not very thick but I think that’s by design so it will go under the pipe insulation without leaving any exposed piping.
