Cannot beat the quality for the price point
I had two taps for a double bathroom basin from a large online bath store; they looked good but were really poor in performance. I decided to replace them with Grohe taps (I have several installed in the house and many more specified and installed for projects) and it was the right decision. The lever action is smooth like velvet whilst precise, the mix is easy, the slightly elongated lever is very easy to control and clean (a bonus nowadays). Don't forget to pick up adapters (I have bought several times these 15mm Compression by 3/8" BSP Male Iron Thread European Flexible Tap Adapters (Pair) Brand: Embrass) and they are good quality and the best price I could find on the market. The compression end means that the tap tail will fit straight onto copper or plastic pipe with suitable insert. The only negative is that now I have a small collection of non Grohe rubbish taps that I feel loathed to throw away.

Excellent German Tap
What a beauty! Operates smoothly and quietly, mixes water temperature easily.UK installation will require 2 units of 15mm x 3/8" Iron Brass Compression Male Couplers, which can be purchased from plumbing supplier for around £2 each, make sure you have these parts ready for your plumber.I have recently changed all my household taps to Grohe and have found them superior in function, maintenance and aesthetic.Despite living in a hard water area, all my Grohe taps, shower head + riser bar are still gleaming even without any chemical treatment for 2 months; I simply use a micro fibre cloth to quickly dry and polish all at once.Although there are cheaper taps out there with warranty, what sets Grohe apart is that they will send out an engineer for any repair job that requires such service, while most other suppliers may only send you the replacement part or a new tap, leaving you with a bill for the plumber.1 year 6 month - This tap is still gleaming with no limescale build-up, I still have not cleaned it with any chemical.Almost 5 years now - This tap is still gleaming with no limescale build-up. I still have not cleaned it with any chemical, but I do dry the tap, sink area and counter with a microfibre towel after each use, this habit is similar to using a squeegy after each shower. You can either have an attractive microfibre towel on display or hide the ugly version somewhere near the sink.

Basin tap that works well and looks good
I like Grohe taps as they work well and operate smoothly. I choose the small smooth body basin tap without the levered pop-up waste. The tap tails come with the tap and are already fitted into the tap. To connect to 15mm copper tube, adaptors are required - Grohe 46914000 46914000-15mm x 3/8‘‘.Fitting is straight forward although I had to cut my pipework as the tails are approx 380mm in length and I didn't want any kinks or loops in the tails. Flow rate and mixing from tap is excellent. Grohe taps stay bright and shine with a wipe with a wet cloth.

Looks great. Total pain to install.
It looks great and works perfectly. But you need to be aware this uses European flexitap connectors which will not juat screw into a UK fitting. They really should advise that. Many plumbing forums mention this a a major failing with Grohe products. After doing 90% of the install I had to head to a screwfix and buy not only the conversion valves but 2 compression joints which reduced the space for the flexis to fit and it all became crowded. I'm just a DIYer not a plumber and enjoyed the problem solving but it added £8 to the cost and was a lot of messing around. If other buyers don't have the right tools to fit compression joints, olives, PTFE tape etc then they would have to waste massive sums calling in a plumber. It's a great tap but either Amazon or Grohe need to provide a warning on selling this to UK customers.

Smart looking tap
Smart looking tap, the only (forgiveable) flaw is that the plug release lever just looks like a bit of bent wire, maybe if they popped on a tiny round ball, or maybe a little square on the end of the wire it would live up to its very classy looks. Other than that, the chrome is obvious quality, no rough bits anywhere, lever action very smooth (had bad experience with much cheaper taps) Great value for a great product.

Easy to install and easy to use, but make sure you have the right adapters
Easy to install and to clean and works well. Closes without dripping, handle is easy to turn.My wife likes it for its nice design. It was easier to get this one in than getting my old tap out.Just be aware that you need the right adapters, since this tap comes with Mainland EU threads. So you need a pair of '15mm Compression by 3/8" BSP Male Iron Thread European Flexible Tap Adapters'.A bit annoying that Grohe does not include them for the UK.

flex pipes no longer in metal mesh
flex pipes connecting hot & cold no longer made of metal mesh but of some kind of textile material which will bend quite easily and most likely fail over time if not kept straight.Disappointing as everything else s good quality as you would expect from Grohe
