Works for what I need
This was purchased for dads house for caregiver to enter the house if dad not around to unlock the door. Was only used twice and there wasn't a problem opening and closing. You use a four digit code.

It's good, but not perfect
It takes a little learning curve to navigate. You cannot use the same number twice and you can actually input the numbers in any order for the code to work. Not a big fan of that, but it's alright because someone would still have to guess a lot of combinations for it to unlock

Reliable
Very reliable brand. Bought some of these 20 years ago and they still work perfect, so I bought some more

Easy set up and secure enough for me
Received this lock yesterday, and I'm very happy so far. Very easy to set up; I had my code set and the lock on the door with about 5 minutes of work and testing without needing to review the instructions.I was happy to find that the little hook holding the key that they show in the pictures is included in the product. I wasn't sure how to get something like that in there on my own.In response to all the people talking about the lack of security, there are technically 1023 combinations (not counting no combination), since you can set any number of digits in your code, so it's comparable to a spinning lock with three digits. I bought this for purposes of using for a couple days at a time for pet sitters or service people, not to leave out for months straight, so I'm content with those odds. A stranger trying to break in doesn't know how many digits I set and may not even know that numbers can't be repeated. Also, I'd trust my neighbors to become suspicious of someone standing at my door for an hour trying to get in and I can change the combination before I put it out every time. If you're looking to leave this on a door for months at a time, you may want to consider another option.

Came locked
It came locked. Instructions won’t work. I called Kidde and their customer support said that it was probably a return, and just send it on to me without being serviced. There were someone else’s keys in it. So I had to physically take it up to a hub and send it back and then re-order.

No broken fingernails
My old lock box -a popular one- broke my nail it was so hard to get open. I like that this is push button instead of the turning numbers. I haven’t had it very long but so far so good. It would be nice if it was a half inch deeper so a key ring fit. I had to take my key off the ring to close this box.

There must be something better
This keysafe is well-built and protects the finish of the doors. It makes it convenient for me to leave keys for servicemen at my rental properties, instead of having to meet them in person to let them in-- which has always been a coordination/timing hastle. My complaint about this lockbox is that it doesn't seem like it would be very difficult for someone to guess the combination. There are only ten numbers/buttons, and you can only use each number once. Plus, you can enter the numbers of the combination in any order! Pushing half the buttons in any order wouldn't take someone long to land on the right combination.Still, if you're only putting it on the door for a day, like I do, the risk is probably low. But there must be something better out there.

Solid
I like it because it's solidly built and easy to operate. At the back of the face plate are dials that you would turn to assign if that is the number you wish to have as the combination. The combination is not order contingent, meaning once you have choosen a set of numbers (for example 12345), you may enter these numbers in any order you wish (for example 54123) and the face plate will be unlocked. My immediate concern is that doesn't seem very secure. But I think there are so many possible combinations from 10 digits and you may assign from 4 to 8 numbers in the combination, that it should be safe from anyone guessing what your combination is.
