I wasn't sure if the ampoule did anything...until I overdid it with actives and retin A. At night, I'd usually use biafine which is an amazing cream I've used for years but is far too heavy during the day. I applied a generous amount of this on my face and patted in. The facial redness reduced and my face felt moist and happy enough for me to layer on vitamin c, niacinamide and sunscreen without a moisturiser. Some may find this insufficient moisture but it works for me when the weather is warm and humid. In fact I have now repurchase the 100ml bottle. I am able to tolerate vitc more than 3 times a week now I was unable to increase this to everyday for the last 3 years. 0 burns and irritation when using this used it 5 times consecutively since purchase. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ GOOD FOR CALMING SKIN *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 22 December 2024* It doesn't work like an active but it calms down inflammation of pimples and strengthens the skin barrier. I had a bit of a damaged skin barrier from using too much retinol/salycilic acid etc and my skin would burn when i creamed my face and this calmed it down in a week no more burning. It also makes painful bumps smaller and less painful doesn't completely remove them though however this product isn't meant for that.Only possible issues are its a little too watery, when putting drops on my fingers it just rolls off which other serums don't do.
