Tons of fun, and the coolest effects...er...pedal?
While I admit 90% of my attention has been devoted to the Sonicware Liven Ambient 0 synth, I also got one of these as my second Sonicware box. And I did have fun with it as its own thing, with both the included samples to drive the granular synth as well as my own. But the fun began when I started plugging things into the external input and putting the TextureLab into External FX mode. Oh my! My favorite thing so far is putting an old Suzuki MIDI Koto (yes, you read that correctly) into it, with the grains in reverse or random mode. Endless hours of fun!!! Yes, it's quirky cheap plastic hardware with a learning curve, but it SOUNDS AMAZING! Highly recommended, especially for the ridiculously low price.

Sounds great
It’s plastic and feels cheap, but sounds great. I’m sure that granular soft synths are much more powerful, but I love having this in my hardware setup. It does have sort of a lo-fi vibe which I love but I guess isn’t for everyone. Normally not a review guy, but wanted to counter all the “cheap toy” reviews. It’s 200 bucks of course the build quality isn’t premium, but I’m more exited and interested about the texture lab than any piece of expensive gear I’ve bought in the last 10 years. Edit: also wanted to add that the power supplies that korg has been using for all their gear in recent years will work perfectly with the unit

It serves its purpose , sampling.
I got one a week before the Roland one came out for less. From the reviews, this one looks better but its highly subjective. Watch actual reviews.

Not what I thought it could be
The idea of granular synthisis intriuged me enought to give this a shot, but I think I was expecting it to offer more in the direction of a sampler synth. You can make some really cool sounds and from a granular synth approach it delivers. I returned it and was considering the Lofi 12 instead but ended up spending a little more and got the Teenage Engineering EP-133 KO ii.

Adds easy sampling then the sky's the limit
Wow what an amazing and inexpensive way to get into granular synthesis. You really don't need a fancy waveform screen to precisely chop trim and time stretch. I'm having a wonderful time with the Texture Lab. I don't think you can get this deep into granular at a lesser price.

I Love Texture Lab
This Sampler is beyond fun for me. What I love about it is its lofi feel, and quick control knobs that are super easy to twist and mangle the sample into very unique sounding patches and loops. My higher end gear can do all of this, but not as instant & inspiring as this little guy. I think this makes the Texture Labs special. Prior to buying it, I was in the market for a lofi sampler like CHOMPI ($599). What got me about the Texture Lab was the price. I paid $239 at the time. I guess Tariffs caused the price to go up. Regardless, I think this line of instruments are amazing for what they cost, and I have all kinds of pro gear. The Livens are built pretty good for being all plastic. Knobs feel good, and even them weird keys play really good for as cheap as they feel and look. They are expressive in their own right and work perfectly for playing. I was surprised about that. Regardless I still hook of a Keystep 37 to it. Love messing with the pitch, speed, and length knobs. It’s like instant fun know matter what sample you get in there. The granular side of throngs can add some interesting results, but it’s hard to enjoy as a Tasty Chips GR-1 owner.

Ripoff
This is utter garbage, do not buy at all. The unit does not come with a power supply and the regular power supplies do not fit, it has a different diameter. When testing the batteries, I bought 6 new batteries (AA) and the unit powers on for about a minute and then turns off.

Sonicware constantly raising prices
I mean, it's ok. I don't like how they keep raising the prices though

You're gonna love it! Cheapest way to get into granular and you have lots of control! The sound is decent but not crisp. Almost perfect for me.

ライン入力に対応したグラニュラーエフェクター/サンプラーがこの価格で入手できて最高です! 本体の塗装や文字のプリントなど製品としての仕上がりも品質が良く感じました。
