DIBBLE
This dibble is exceptionally comfortable to hold. One advantage over the all-metal one is that it doesn't get as hot when working in the sun in a hot climate (Utah, in my case.) Larger grip makes it easier to use when you need to drive it deeply. The leather cord is probably intended to use as a retention aid, but it is too short to get my hand through it comfortably - especially when wearing a glove. (Of course, gloves can be put on after the loop is over the hand, but in my case, even that doesn't work.) Very well made and I would buy it again if necessary. Might even be a nice gift for the gardeners and home "farmers" in your life.

Perfect for yards and vampires!
As a passionate gardener, the Dewayna Dibber Garden Tool has become my new best friend when it comes to planting seeds and transplanting seedlings. The 11-inch dibber with its smooth, splinter-free T-shape wood handle feels so comfortable in my hand, and the stamped stainless steel tip is just perfect for the job. It makes planting so effortless, and I can see how it will save me so much time and energy in the garden. The comfortable grip is a game-changer for my hand, making gardening a joy instead of a strain. I can't wait to see my plants grow and thrive with the help of this fantastic dibber!

Nice tool to have
This is a nicely-made planting dibble. It’s constructed with stainless-clad oak formed in a T-grip. It’s a classic design. It is comfortable to hold and the oak has a nice oil finish on it. The wood finish will probably require maintenance at the end of the season, but this could be nothing more than a light sanding by hand (if needed) with a fine-grit (e.g., 220-grit) sandpaper and a re-coating with another oil-based finish (e.g., Danish oil, boiled linseed oil, tung oil, or even just mineral oil would work). I am happy that it has an oil finish, and not a varnish or polyurethane that would be more difficult to maintain. The stainless sheathing is made from a single piece of metal; there is no seam in it, which is good. It is highly magnetic, which leads me to suspect that the metal does not have a high chromium content, and it would be susceptible to rust. That’s not a major issue for me as I take care of my tools and wipe them down after use. However, I would not be surprised to see rust on the dibble if it were left outside in the dewy grass for a day or two.Apart from a higher chromium content, one improvement that could be made on the stainless sheathing would be if there were some depth markings etched into it. This would be helpful in getting consistent hole depths rather than just “eyeballing” it. Of course as a fallback, I can always use a sharpie to put my most-often-used depths, or put a piece of tape to the depth that I’m planting to. Still, some etched-in marks would be handy, and would look classy, also.I’ve only used the tool one day thus far, to transplant a bunch of basil seedlings. The dibbler made the task easy, making well-formed holes that were easy to properly insert the roots down into. It was MUCH easier than using my finger, which was the previous tool that I’d been using.Despite the small drawbacks, overall, this is a nicely-made tool. I am happy to have it, it is a pleasure to use, and would recommend it.

quick and easy
In the past, I have used a small garden shovel and had to dig small holes for my flower bulbs. Two years ago, I dug 50 holes and planted my bulbs. It took all day. I did not plant deep enough and wasted my time and money because they were eaten by the animals. Some even just came out of the ground when it rained because they were not planted deep enough. I was happy to get this bulb digger. Using this bulb digger, I was able to get the holes for my bulbs to the perfect size and depth. I was able to dig the holes very easily, with almost no effort on my part. I planted bulbs in my whole area, about 50 bulbs. It only took me about half an hour to dig all of the holes with this bulb digger and plant. I can't wait until they grow. I love to have nice flower gardens and for me; I prefer to grow my flowers from seeds and bulbs. This bulb digger helps tremendously, quickly, and easily for a beautiful bed of flowers. This digger is very sturdy, and quality made. There are markings on the side to let you know how deep you are making the holes. The dirt stays in the digger and lifts out like a plug of dirt, so nice.

Would make a great gift for a gardener
This dibbler is a fine piece of craftsmanship, and a perfect size for quickly making holes for seeds or small seedlings in the garden soil. It is impeccably fashioned and made to last, looking very much like it came out of one of those spring seed and tool catalogs so popular among (us) gardeners. Nice enough to give as a gift to someone else, or yourself.

Solid and durable bulb planter
This is your standard bulb planter garden tool. It is made from heavy gauge steel, though, with a thick wooden handle. The handle is big and allows you to easily get a good grip so you can press the tool into the ground, rotating it back and forth to dig deep, and then extract the dirt. It has 1, 2, 3, and 4 inch depth markers inscribed on the side. The markers can get obscured by dirt clinging to it but is easily cleaned with a quick wipe from your glove or towel. This seems very well built and should last a long time.
